 (EU) and restricts the use of six hazardous materials in electrical and electronic products, a class that includes optical cables, connectors and apparatus. All applicable products sold in the EU market starting July 1, 2006 must be RoHS compliant. Similar regulations will be coming into effect in China in the near future.
