OFFSHORE PIPELINES, INC. NAMES NEW SENIOR EXECUTIVE

 HOUSTON, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Offshore Pipelines, Inc. ("OPI") (NYSE: OFP) today announced that Don W. Wilson, 45 years old, has been named president of OPI International, Inc., one of OPI's principal operating subsidiaries.
 Don Wilson has over 18 years experience in the offshore construction industry. Prior to joining OPI, he was vice president of Global Operations for Brown & Root, Inc. with primary responsibility for worldwide marine operations. He was also formerly director and general manager of European Marine Contractors Ltd., a joint venture between Brown & Root and Saipem S.A. engaged in marine construction activities in the North Sea, and has also served in a variety of managerial positions for Brown & Root with direct responsibility for the North Sea, West Africa and the Middle East.
 Frank Wade, chairman and chief executive officer commented, "Don Wilson is a major addition to our senior management team. He has a tremendous amount of experience, most recently in the technically challenging North Sea. Don complements and brings additional depth to the OPI team."
