OFFSHORE LAWS AMENDED.


The St. Vincent & the Grenadines Grenadines: see Grenada; Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Windward Islands.  Parliament has amended two laws in a package of offshore legislation to tighten existing loopholes in the wake of a financial advisory issued by the U.S., Canada and Japan against this country's offshore center, reports CANA Cana (kā`nə), ancient town of Galilee. According to the Gospel of St. John it was here that Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water into wine at a wedding.

Finance Minister Arnhim Eustace Arnhim Ulric Eustace (born 1944) is a development economist and politician from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He served in the New Democratic Party government of James Fitz-Allen Mitchell and became prime minister on October 27, 2000, when Mitchell retired.  presented the amendments to the International Banks 1996 Act as well as the Confidential Relationships Preservation (International Finance) 1996 Act, one week after the Offshore Finance Authority revoked the licenses of six offshore banks which have been accused of failing to comply with the International Banks Act;
