Municipal Court is no longer a municipal court and it hasn't been in Newhall for decades.

And so court officials are considering a new name, though, for now, it will be called the Newhall Courthouse.

Santa Clarita Courthouse is a top contender since Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County municipal courts were unified in January with the Superior Court system.
