It was Audrey Ruttan of Van Nuys as a convincing Jacko look-alike at the 20th annual Doo-Dah parade, Pasadena's yearly extravaganza of the absurd. The crowd went crazy as if Ruttan were the expectant one himself. They screamed, ``Michael, I love you,'' and ran onto the parade route to shake his hand. ``I think it's so hilarious,'' said Mandana Towhidy, watching the spectacle from the doorway of the Colorado Boulevard clothing shop where she works. Organizers said this year's Doo-Dah crowd was the biggest ever, with thousands lining Colorado Boulevard to watch the procession of the weird and the wacky. I just like the craziness of it,'' he added. The zaniness rubbed off on Pasadena police Officer Rodney D. Wallace, who played impresario to an impromptu shout-off between spectators on either side of Colorado Boulevard. One side yelled, ``Doo,'' the other, ``Dah.'' Wallace's performance earned him congratulatory handshakes along the route. He even did a guest spot as cymbalist cym·bal n. Wearing his trademark tuxedo, the parade's grand marshal, radio personality Dr. Demento, marched the parade route in a giant wooden record. ``This is craziness live and in the flesh. The show and the parade have both flourished because everybody likes to laugh and have a good time,'' Demento said. The parade included everything from the outlandish Texas Chainsaw Orchestra, lead by a conductor toting a weed chopper, to the political - a clone of defeated, ultra-conservative U.S. Rep.
