"This will be a landmark year for both the city and the chapter," Richards said. Richards has been writing about the industry, the firms, and the personalities for years. Before launching ArchNewsNow.com, she spent two years as editor-in-chief of DesignArchitecture.com, and 10 years as news editor/feature writer for Interiors magazine. She has also been a freelance writer and photographer for a number of international architecture and business publications. In addition to Richard's journalistic endeavors, her first book, "Retail and Restaurant Spaces: An International Portfolio," was just reissued in paperback by Rockport Publishers.
