A large industrial area, and Six Flags California's Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor also draw visitors, Baltin said. ``There's a good balance of industrial, recreation and residential,'' he said. ``The planners there did a good job of making Santa Clarita self-contained.'' Visitors to the area paid an average of $112.79 a night in November, compared with an L.A.-area average of $127.66. Last year's average local rate for the month was $119.44. The Valencia Hyatt, Hilton Garden Inn Hilton Garden Inn is the name of a chain of hotels operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Hilton Garden Inns are considered to be upscale, mid-priced hotels that are designed for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel brand is similar to that of the Courtyard by Marriott brand. and three mid-size inns operated by Valencia-based Ocean Park Hotels are near the freeway, and within a few miles of Valencia's industrial parks and nearby Six Flags California. Ocean Park also is building a 112-room La Quinta Inn & Suites and a 144-room Courtyard by Marriott Courtyard by Marriott is a brand of hotels owned by Marriott International. They have over 2,800 hotels worldwide, as of June 2007. Courtyard by Marriott is designed for business travelers. while Innkeepers USA Limited Partnership, has proposed building a 164-room Embassy Suites at the Interstate 5/State Route 126 junction.
