Objectivity, Inc., a provider of distributed, scalable object databases and ObjectShare Inc.(NASDAQ:OBJS), a provider of component solutions, have launched the VisualWorks Object Database Assurance Package (ODAP) a new service that enables companies to convert their VisualWorks applications to leading object databases while protecting the security and integrity of their data. The ODAP is an initiative to broaden the support available to companies using Smalltalk and object databases.

The new service provides companies with a plan to convert their VisualWorks database applications to leading object databases; the first partner database in the ODAP is Objectivity/DB. Using the results of this work, a customer can put in place a strategy that provides their business with assurance of the highest integrity and security for their data.
