REEDSPORT - A wake will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 24 at Rennie's Landing in Eugene for Aileen K. Belcher of Reedsport, who died Jan. 8 of age-related causes. She was 82.

She was born Oct. 31, 1926, in Eugene to Raymond and Lillian Shaw. She married Dave Belcher on Dec. 22, 1961, in Springfield.

She attended Lane Community College.

Survivors include her husband; three children, Michele Belcher and Annette Lee, both of Eugene, and Brenda Carlson of Portland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jerry Crockett

James Gerald "Jerry" Crockett of Eugene died Jan. 5 of kidney failure kidney failure

He was born April 18, 1948, in Corvallis to James and Victoria Habeeb Crockett.

Survivors include a brother, Joe of Corvallis, and two sisters, Peggy Kemp of Blue River and Carol Crockett of Albany.

Joanne Newby

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Veneta Alliance Church for Joanne June Newby of Eugene. She died Jan. 7 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 75.

She was born June 5, 1933, in Seattle to Clifford and Betty Newell Middleton. She married James Newby on Sept. 4, 1954, in Concrete, Wash.

She graduated from Concrete High School in Washington in 1951. Madalyn Tipton

COTTAGE GROVE Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  - A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Smith-Lund-Mills Chapel in Cottage Grove for Madalyn Tipton of Cottage Grove. She died Jan. 8 of age-related causes at age 87.

She was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Fillmore, Utah Fillmore is a city in Millard County, Utah, United States. The population was 2,253 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Millard CountyGR6. It is named for the thirteenth US President Millard Fillmore. , to John and Ava Brunson Sibley. She married Lloyd Tipton on March 26, 1946 in Hillsboro, Texas. He died July 8, 1999.

She worked as a presser for a dry cleaning business.

Survivors include two daughters, Loyette Richardson of Cottage Grove and Lydia Scott of Washington; two brothers, Robert Farris of Cottage Grove and Donald Farris of Oklahoma; a sister, Joyce Arney of Cottage Grove; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
