Gay Hanavan-Coon

Gay Lynn Hanavan-Coon of Eugene died Sept. 17 of cancer at age 43. A memorial service will be later.

She was born Sept. 4, 1964, in Tahoe, Calif., to Gary and Diane Rapp Hanavan. She married Monty Coon coon: see raccoon.  on Sept. 5, 1999, in Eugene.

Hanavan-Coon graduated from Churchill High School. She was a hair stylist for many years and worked for Bike Friday Bike Friday is a brand of folding bicycle made by Green Gear Cycling, Inc. of Eugene, Oregon. (Cyclists often refer informally to the company itself as "Bike Friday" or the "Bike Friday company.").  for the past eight years.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; a daughter, Madalynn Bolsinger of Eugene; a son, Elliott Coon of Eugene; a sister, Julie Hanavan Olsen of Eugene; and a brother, Bryan Hanavan of Eugene.

Frank La Sage II

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Eugene Seventh-day Adventist Church The Seventh-day Adventist Church (abbreviated "Adventist"[2]) is a Protestant Christian denomination which is distinguished mainly by its observance of Saturday, the "seventh day" of the week, as the Sabbath.  for Frank Raymond La Sage II of Eugene. He died Sept. 19 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 68.

He was born Aug. 28, 1939, in Cebu City Cebu City

, Philippines to Frank and Jacienta La Sage. He married Catherine Mason on May 25, 2000, in Eugene. La Sage had owned and operated Oregon Painting Service since 1972.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Caitlen La Sage and Kathleen Hill, both of Eugene, April La Sage of Portland and Renee Bild of Junction City; a son, Michael of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Ann Parmenter of Eugene; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His spouse, Darlene La Sage, died previously.

Frances Hopper

Frances Sanborn Hopper of Austin, Texas, formerly of Creswell, died Sept. 8 of effects of dementia at age 87. No service is planned.

She was born Feb. 3, 1920, in St. Maries, Idaho St. Maries is a city in Benewah County, Idaho, United States. The population was 2,652 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Benewah CountyGR6. Pronounced like St. Mary's. Geography

 to Rupert and Clara La Valley Sanborn. She married Deane Hopper on Feb. 3, 1946, in Yakima, Wash.

She worked for Boeing Aircraft Co. during World War II. She held bachelor's degrees in sociology and education, and taught elementary school in Great Falls, Mont., for 30 years.

Survivors include two sons, Michael of Long Beach, Calif., and Warren of Creswell; a daughter, Marianne Hopper Dawson of Austin; and three grandchildren. Her husband died in 1994.
