OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Frances Cooley The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene for Frances Franzwa Cooley of Eugene, who died Sept. 6 of age-related causes at age 97. Oral delivery of prepared lessons by a pupil. b. of the rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. She was born Sept. 28, 1908, in Portland to Joseph and Sarah Bulmer Franzwa. She married Dale Cooley on July 31, 1928, in Eugene. He died in 1988. Cooley had worked as a teacher at St. Francis High School, in the office at Marist High School and previously worked in alterations for Miller's department store Miller Brothers Company, its name shortened to Miller's after its acquisition by Garfinkel, Brooks Brothers, Miller & Rhoads, was a major eastern Tennessee chain of stores founded in Chattanooga, becoming a part of Allied Stores and eventually sold to Hess's in 1986; it . She was an organist for St. Mary Catholic Church for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Marge McMemomy of Palm Desert, Calif.; a son, Ed of Marcola; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Janet Dawson Janet Dawson(1935- ), Australian artist who won the Archibald Prize in 1973 with a portrait of Michael Boddy. She studied at the Gallery School in Melbourne from 1952 to 1956. , died previously. Ruthven was a homemaker, and had worked at the Wendling Post Office during World War II. Survivors include a son, Jim of Portland; a daughter, Kathy Shear of Junction City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, David, died in 1957. A private service is planned. She worked in the Lane County District Attorney's Office, as a model for J.C. Penney and as a stewardess on Matson Steam Lines. Survivors include a son, Gary of Eugene; a daughter, Kathey Jee of Aurora; a sister, Alma Hodson of Oroville, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Mark, died in 1979. She married Richard G. Van Natta on May 9, 1951, in Fresno, Calif. He died March 23, 2003. She was a homemaker. She was born March 10, 1961, in Cottage Grove to James and Evelyn Allen Campbell. Campbell worked for community education in Arizona as a bookkeeper and in collections. Survivors include her domestic partner of six years, Russell Johnson; her mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Alan Doolittle of Culp Creek; her father and stepmother, James and Glenda Campbell of Creswell; two sons, Jeremy Patten of Norfolk, Va., and Todd Patten of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Tony Campbell of Culp Creek; and two grandchildren.
