M. Eunice Gibson

The funeral will be April 27 for M. Eunice Gibson of Eugene, who died April 23 of age-related causes. She was 91.

Gibson was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  to Irvin and Mary Comer Huckins. She married Roy Mossel in Eugene on Dec. 24, 1928. He died in August of 1972. She married George Gibson George Gibson is the name of:
  • George Gibson (baseball), Canadian baseball player
  • George Gibson (football), American football player
  • George Gibson, Lewis and Clark Expedition member
 in Reno, Nev., on April 22, 1981. He died in November of 1992.

She was a lifetime resident of this area and lived in Cottage Grove and Drain before settling in Eugene.

She worked for Chet's Famous Foods in Eugene from 1957 until 1963. She worked as a bookkeeper for a school district from 1965 until 1977.

She was a member of the Santa Clara Santa Clara, city, Cuba

 Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting quilting, form of needlework, almost always created by women, most of them anonymous, in which two layers of fabric on either side of an interlining (batting) are sewn together, usually with a pattern of back or running (quilting) stitches that hold the layers , crocheting, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Rhoades of Eugene; a son, Leroy of Littleton, Colo.; a sister, Florence Burge of Salem; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Tuesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Burial will follow the service at Lane Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels n. 1. A program that delivers hot meals to persons, such as the elderly or disabled, who are confined to their homes and unable to cook for themselves; also, the meals thus delivered. Such programs are usually conducted by governmental or charitable organizations. .

 service will be April 27 for Dolores R. Snyder of Curtin, who died April 23 of Alzheimer's disease Alzheimer's disease (ăls`hī'mərz, ôls–), degenerative disease of nerve cells in the cerebral cortex that leads to atrophy of the brain and senile dementia. . She was 73.

, to Otis and Jewell Snyder Cox.

She married L.J. Snyder in Medford on Sept. 20, 1947. He died in 1980.

Snyder was born and raised in Dallas until 1947, when she moved to Jacksonville, and then in the mid-1950s to Curtin.

A homemaker, Snyder enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning, garage sales, bingo, watching daytime dramas, reading, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include a son, Darrell of Cottage Grove; two daughters, Brenda Brooks of Drain and Deborah Campbell of Curtin; a sister, Charlene Joslyn of Drain; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchil- dren.

Tuesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Comstock Cemetery in Curtin.

Donald Gibson

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be April 26 for Donald Earl Gibson of Springfield, who died April 22 of heart failure. He was 85.

Gibson was born July 4, 1918, in Eugene to Earl and Amanda Hulegard Gibson. He married Susan Lary in Reno, Nev., on Oct. 2, 2000.

He attended Willard Elementary School elementary school: see school.  in Eugene. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a co-owner of Terminal Cab Co. in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He worked as a bus driver for Lane Transit District from 1976 until his retirement in 1986.

He was a member of the Eugene Elks Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, country western music and western movies. He especially enjoyed his dog, Charlie.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Teddi Miller of Halsey; and three grandchildren. Two sons died previously.

Monday's service will be at 2 p.m. at the American Legion American Legion, national association of male and female war veterans, founded (1919) in Paris. Membership is open to veterans of World Wars I and II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  Post 3 in Eugene. Burial will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bernard Dwight

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be April 27 for Bernard L. Dwight of Springfield, who died April 23 of age-related causes. He was 86.

Dwight was born Aug. 31, 1917, in Pierre, S.D., to Hayden and Mabel Lemmon Dwight. He married E. Adeline Gladen in Laporte, Minn., on Sept. 28, 1946. She died on Jan. 10, 1986. He later married Beryle Schnell in 1998 and they divorced in 2001. Dwight lived in Laporte, then Westwood, Calif., from 1946 to 1956, before moving to Springfield.

Dwight was in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 and served in Saipan.

He worked as an engineer for Geo. Myrmo and Sons. He developed Dwight Broached Bullets and he designed portable spar poles for logging operations. Dwight enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Steve of Eugene; a daughter, Donna Pluth of Eugene; a sister, Bernice Clark of Kennewick, Wash.; and one grandchild.

Tuesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Springfield. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens.

Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Marcia Breitenstein

OAKRIDGE - A memorial service will be April 26 for Marcia Louise Breitenstein of Oakridge, who died April 23 of cancer. She was 67.

Breitenstein was born May 7, 1936, in Everett, Wash., to Victor and Dorothy Shannon Dahl. She grew up in Everett and graduated from Everett High School Everett High School may refer to:

 in 1954. Breitenstein married Lewis Conley in Oakridge on Jan. 9, 2004. She was employed at GTE GTE General Telephone & Electronics

 in Everett and retired from the phone company in 1993. She enjoyed crocheting and making rag dolls.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Roy Breitenstein of Oakridge; and four grandchildren.

Monday's service will be at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Oakridge.

Oakridge Chapel of the Woods Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sam Dominguez

A memorial service will be April 26 for Sam E. Dominguez of Eugene, who died April 22 at age 83.

The family chose not to list the cause of death.

Dominguez was born July 21, 1920, in Fort Davis, Texas Fort Davis is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jeff Davis County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,050 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Jeff Davis CountyGR6. , to Alex and Frances Dominguez. He married Lena White in Texas on Feb. 28, 1946. He lived in Montebello, Calif., until 1987 when he moved to Eugene.

Dominguez served in the Second Armored Division of the U.S. Army. He was employed as a chef at several restaurants. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of the American Legion. He was awarded the Veterans History Project Hometown Hero award by the city of Eugene.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Ron of Chino Chino (chē`nō), city (1990 pop. 59,682), San Bernardino co., S Calif.; founded 1887, inc. 1910. It is the business and processing center of a diversified farming (notably dairying) area. , Calif.; four daughters, Delsa Pedilu of Springfield, Marva McGrath of Whittier, Calif., Sandra Dominguez and Norma Dominguez, both of Eugene; a brother, Joe, of Fort Davis, Texas; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Monday's service will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Faith Center at West 13th Avenue and Polk Street in Eugene. Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire.
