She was born July 7, 1912, in Greenfield, Iowa Greenfield is a city in Adair County, Iowa, United States. The population was 2,129 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Adair CountyGR6. Greenfield is home to the Iowa Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame. , to Ollie and Pearl Oldham Schantol. She married Belvin Doane on Aug. 24, 1929, in Springfield. She worked in the Lane County Assessor's Office until her retirement in 1977. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Eugene and Belvin of Moraga, Calif.; a sister, Beth Payne of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He worked for Johnson's Lumber Co. and other mills in Veneta for many years.
