Wilma Pitcher

She was born April 16, 1927 , in Eugene to Roy and Jessie Colvin Tracer.

She married Delbert Pitcher on Dec. 13, 1944, in Portland. He died Nov. 4, 1984.

She was a farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam May of Junction City; three sons, Frank Pitcher and Louie Kaping, both of Junction City, and Bill of Monroe; a brother, Dan Tracer of Winchester Bay; two sisters, Marie Laisure of Junction City and Ki Phillips of Olympia; nine grandchildren and two great-grand- children.

Eldred Smith

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Norkenzie Christian Church in Eugene for Eldred L. "Ed" Smith of Eugene, who died Oct. 24 at age 93 of age-related causes.

He was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Tangent to Josiah and Orra Copp Smith.

He married Clara Mattoon in Eugene. They had been married for 43 years when she died July 25, 1995.

Smith served in the Army as a pilot in the Korean War Korean War, conflict between Communist and non-Communist forces in Korea from June 25, 1950, to July 27, 1953. At the end of World War II, Korea was divided at the 38th parallel into Soviet (North Korean) and U.S. (South Korean) zones of occupation. .

He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Anne Morris of Creswell; a sister, Bertha Safley of Medford; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A grandson, Ronnie Morris Ronnie Morris is the former bass player of post-punk band controller.controller. He now plays for the band Lioness.

Ivan Paeschke

 service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City for Ivan R. Paeschke of Junction City, who died Oct. 25 of complications of a stroke at age 71.

He was born March 11, 1935, in Eugene to Henry and Edna Loffelmacher Paeschke.

He married Janet Pitts on June 5, 1964, in Eugene.

Esther Jost

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at Central Presbyterian Church Located on the northeast corner of Brazos and Bois d'Arc (now Eighth Street), Central Presbyterian Church in Austin Texas traces its roots to the organization of the first Presbyterian church in Austin on Sunday, October 13, 1839. That event, conducted by Rev.  for Esther Walters Jost of Eugene, who died Oct. 25 of age-related causes at age 95.

She married Ray Jost on June 13, 1933, in Valley Forge Valley Forge, on the Schuylkill River, SE Pa., NW of Philadelphia. There, during the American Revolution, the main camp of the Continental Army was established (Dec., 1777–June, 1778) under the command of Gen. George Washington. , Pa. He died in 1988.

She worked as an elementary teacher in Hainesport, N.J., and was a substitute teacher in Eugene from 1953 to 1968.

Survivors include two sons, John of Sequim, Wash., and Doug of Eugene; two sisters, Helen Evernham of Whiting, N.J., and Flora Lugrin of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Entombment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene. Vivian Stephens

SPRINGFIELD - A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Trinity Baptist Church in Springfield for Vivian Jenson Stephens of Springfield, who died Oct. 24 of complications of heart surgery.

She was born Jan. 1, 1937, in Dallas to Everette and Margaret Lefever Norris.

She married Denny Stephens on June 16, 1974, in Sisters.

Stephens retired after working as a registered nurse for 28 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Paula Jenson and Janna Keeney; two sons, Bill Jenson and Tyrone Stephens; and three grandchildren. A daughter, Susan Jenson, died previously.

Richard Landry

A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Yachats Inn in Yachats for Richard Landry of Eugene. He died Oct. 19 of complications of cancer at age 59.

He was born May 15, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif., to Charles and Florence Maher Landry.

Landry was a tree planter and artist.

Survivors include his parents; three children, Lisa of Long Beach, Calif., Rivers of Eugene and Spruce of Newport; a sister, Sheila of Eugene; and one grandchild.

Scot Boyko

SPRINGFIELD - Scot William "Scottie" Boyko of Springfield died Oct. 21 of a gunshot wound at age 37. Services were held in Eugene, Coburg and Mapleton.

Boyko was born on Oct. 22, 1968, in Fontana, Calif., to Donald and Barbara Mayberry Boyko.
