She was born Nov. 10, 1907, in Prosser, Neb., to Oatis and Mary Swigart Whelan. She married William Demmon on June 7, 1925, in Casper, Wyo. He died in 1995. She was a homemaker and a pianist. Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Provins of Fall Creek; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
