OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Joe Estes SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held June 22 for Joe F. Estes of Springfield, who died June 16 of pancreatic cancer pancreatic cancer Malignant tumour of the pancreas. Risk factors include smoking, a diet high in fat, exposure to certain industrial products, and diseases such as diabetes and chronic pancreatitis. Pancreatic cancer is more common in men. at age 57. He was born to Joe and Virgie Young Estes on May 17, 1949, in Eugene. He married Janice Hughes on May 22, 1971, in Springfield. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Benjamin of Milwaukee, Wis., and Matthew of Springfield; and three siblings, Linda Lusby of Vida, Gay Harris of Highland Ranch, Colo., and Jim Estes of Springfield.
