The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley, . She was a homemaker and volunteer. Carl "Bill" Hampton LOWELL - A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. June 3 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for Carl "Bill" Jodie Hampton of Lowell, who died May 15 in an auto accident at age 74. He was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Murphy, N.C., to Kenneth and Bobbie Ledford Hampton. Hampton served in the Army. He was employed as a steelworker. Survivors include two sons, Larry of Springfield and Robby of Dexter; a daughter, Lisa of Dexter; two brothers, Kenneth of Hammond, La., and Boyd of Conyars, Ga.; a sister, Pauline Ernst of Atlanta; eight grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. ; and two great-grandchildren.
