Byline: The Register-Guard

Ian Leask

SPRINGFIELD - Ian Leask of Springfield died May 22 of lung complications at age 74.

He was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  to John and Janet Leask. He married Marie Landry on Nov. 28, 1952, in Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. .

He worked for Torin Manufacturing in Van Nuys, Calif., as a maintenance supervisor.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John of Simi, Calif., and Arthur of Springfield; and two granddaughters.

No service is planned. Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home, Springfield.

Betty Blair

Betty Jean Blair of Eugene died May 27 of pancreatic cancer pancreatic cancer

Malignant tumour of the pancreas. Risk factors include smoking, a diet high in fat, exposure to certain industrial products, and diseases such as diabetes and chronic pancreatitis. Pancreatic cancer is more common in men.
 at age 80.

She was born May 20, 1926, in Rapid City, S.D., to Albert and Marie Weston Borup. She married Gerald Blair on Dec. 24, 1947, in Eugene. He died Dec. 14, 2002.

Survivors include four sons, Gary and Kelly, both of Springfield, Greg of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Keith of Salem; a daughter, Sandy Bryan of Eugene; a sister, Marlene Burnham of Eugene; a brother, Lyle Borup of Eugene; 10 grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16.  and nine great-grandchildren.

 will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene. Private burial will be Thursday at Mulkey Cemetery in Eugene. Remembrances to Peace Health Hospice.

Myrna Reineke

Services have been held for Myrna Elizabeth Reineke of Eugene, who died May 25 of a stroke. She was 89. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery Oak Hill Cemetery is a twenty-two acre (9 ha) historic cemetery and botanical garden located in Georgetown, Washington, D.C..

Oak Hill began in 1848 as part of the rural cemetery movement, directly inspired by the success of Mount Auburn Cemetery, when William Wilson
 in Eugene.

She was born July 10, 1916, in Arcadia, Neb., to Henry and Bessie Watson Hiner. She married Wilbert "Burt" Reineke on May 15, 1939, in Bassett, Neb. He died Dec. 31, 1983.

She had worked on the line in a cannery for Eugene Fruit Growers.

Survivors include three sons, Duane of Veneta, Darwin of Elmira and Norlyn of Eugene; three daughters, Darlene Hibbert of Springfield, Sharon Lynch of Vilonia, Ark., and Nadine Voyles of Nixa, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two grandsons died previously.
