OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Raleigh Manley COBURG - A memorial service will be held Nov. 2 for Raleigh Edward Manley, former mayor of Coburg, who died Oct. 28 of age-related causes. He was 93. He was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Delaware, Okla., to Peter and Mamie Goodman Manley. He married Grace Smith on Oct. 29, 1936, in Eugene. He moved to Lane County in 1934. A painter by trade, he retired after a career with the city of Eugene. Manley served on the Coburg City Council in 1949 and was mayor of the city for more than 17 years. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers and the 100F and Eagles lodges, and a charter member and former chairman of the Coburg Golden Years Noun 1. golden years - the time of life after retirement from active work time of life - a period of time during which a person is normally in a particular life state Activity organization. He also was a charter member of the Coburg Rural Fire Department. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gene of Coburg; a daughter, Joyce Crane of Coburg; and 14 grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Memorial contributions may be made to Coburg 100F Cemetery. Leslie Jerman-Coon A memorial service will be held Nov. 5 for Leslie Jean Jerman-Coon of Eugene, who died Oct. 22 of age-related causes. She was 82. She was born July 6, 1923, in Portland to Wilbur and Edna Lind Jerman. She married Floyd Coon coon: see raccoon. on Dec. 25, 1945, in San Antonio San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837. . Jerman-Coon had lived in Eugene since 1950.
