Ilene Johnson

VENETA - A memorial service will be held Feb. 25 for Ilene H. Johnson of Veneta, who died Feb. 20 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time. . She was 72.

Johnson was born Sept. 15, 1930, in Fort Dodge, Iowa Fort Dodge is a city and county seat of Webster County, Iowa, United States, situated on the Des Moines River. The population was 25,136 at the 2000 census. Fort Dodge is a major commercial center for North Central and Northwest Iowa. It is located on U.S. Routes 20 and 169. , to Charles and Hazel Shell McBride. She married Walter Johnson in Fort Dodge on July 14, 1945. They later divorced.

She enjoyed playing video games, collecting dolls and knickknacks, crocheting, going to the beach and gardening. She was a member of First Baptist Church First Baptist Church may refer to many churches: Canada

Survivors include three daughters, Dianna Pierce of Elmira, Jerry Johnson of Harrisburg and Sue Preston of Junction City; six sons, Bruce of Springfield, Wayne of Eugene, Parry of Florence, and Clyde, Clarence "Eddie" and James, all of Elmira; a brother, Joseph McBride of Fort Dodge; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Robert, and two grandchildren died previously.

Tuesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery Oak Hill Cemetery is a twenty-two acre (9 ha) historic cemetery and botanical garden located in Georgetown, Washington, D.C..

Oak Hill began in 1848 as part of the rural cemetery movement, directly inspired by the success of Mount Auburn Cemetery, when William Wilson
 in Eugene. Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 26 for Frances A. Weeks of Eugene, who died Feb. 21 of pulmonary fibrosis Pulmonary Fibrosis Definition

Description

Pulmonary fibrosis develops when the alveoli, tiny air sacs that transfer oxygen to the blood, become damaged and inflamed.
. She was 82.

Weeks was born Nov. 10, 1920, in Petaluma, Calif., to Sardis and Enid Peterson. She married Lewis J. Weeks in Sebastopol, Calif., on Sept. 1, 1940. He died in 1976.

She lived in California before settling in Eugene in 1978. She attended Luther Burbank Business College in Santa Rosa, Calif., and Heald n. 1. A heddle.  Engineering College in San Francisco. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper.

She enjoyed reading and travel and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James of Eugene; two brothers, Russell Peterson of Elk Grove, Calif., and James Peterson of Sacramento; a sister, Virginia Foster of Loomis, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Wednesday's service will be at 11 a.m., also at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eugene First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Patty Dreyer

 service will be held today, Feb. 24, for Patty J. Dreyer of Eugene, who died Feb. 19 of heart failure. She was 69.

Dreyer was born March 30, 1933, to Claire and Gwendolyn Scott Head. She married Gordon Dreyer in Las Vegas. They later divorced.

She lived in Washington and Texas before settling in Eugene in 1999. She worked as a registered nurse.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, needlepoint needlepoint: see lace.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Miller of Lowell, Lisa Ann Mize of Sylmar, Calif., and Patty Melisa Dreyer of Los Angeles; two sons, Gorden Jr. of Carrollton, Texas, and Scott of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.

Today's service will be at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, Wash. Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
