Eunice Doebel

Eunice Doebel of Eugene died Jan. 3 of age-related causes at age 92.

She was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Ely, Minn. She married Robert Doebel, who died in 1986.

She was a primary school teacher for 32 years in Ohio.

Survivors include two sons, John and Bob; a daughter, Connie; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lillian Scott

Lillian A. Scott of Eugene died Jan. 2 of age-related causes at age 91. No service is planned.

She was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Tripp, S.D., to Bee and Gladys Beardsley McBride. She married Evan Scott.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a certified nursing assistant This article or section may deal primarily with the U.S. and may not present a worldwide view. .

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Scott of Anchorage and Anita Mulford of Portland; a son, Evan Jr. of Mountain View, Calif.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. A daughter, Doris, and a son, Clyde, died previously.

A potluck gathering will be held later in Alpine. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.

Virginia Gass

PLEASANT HILL - A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire. It is an ancient and widespread practice, second only to burial. She was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Sanger, Calif., to George and Clara Martin Bigard. She married William Gass in February 1948 in Sanger. He died in 2002.

She had sold real estate, worked for Bell Telephone and owned the Silver Bell Restaurant in Springfield.

Survivors include a son, Rodney of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Kathryn Gass of Placerville, Calif., and Camella Freeman of Pleasant Hill; a sister, Wanda Prewitt of Anchorage; and 21 grandchildren.

 in Eugene for Roma Eleanor Raper of Wilsonville, formerly of Lane County, who died Dec. 8 of heart-related causes at age 85.

She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Adair, Iowa Adair is a city in Adair and Guthrie County Counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 839 at the 2000 census. History
The Rock Island Railroad was built through the area in 1868. This led to the area being known as Summit Cut.
, to Charles and Emma Aupperle Swinehart. She married Harry Raper on Aug. 16, 1942, in Long Beach, Calif. He died April 22, 1983.

She worked as a medical aide in Pomona, Calif. She was a certified nursing assistant in Eugene at nursing homes and in home health care.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue Barnett of Barlow, Rita Dennis of Van Nuys, Calif., and Jo Ann Caro of Burbank, Calif.; a son, Le Roy of Canby; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Patti Leone, died in 2005.
