Karen Geary

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Karen Patricia Geary Patricia Geary is an American author. After writing two borderline fantasy novels, Living in Ether (1982) and Strange Toys (1987), the latter of which won the Philip K.  of Springfield, who died Dec. 15 of cancer at age 54. Inurnment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens following the service.

She was born Aug. 1, 1952, in Boston to Paul and Mary Doherty Mary Doherty is an Irish Christian Solidarity Party politician based in County Donegal. She was one of only seven Christian Solidarity Party candidates at the 2007 Irish general election[1] and received only 339 votes.  Geary. She married Jim Overton on July 14, 1984, in Foxborough, Mass.

Geary worked for the forest service and the Bureau of Land Management for 30 years.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mary Ann Geary of Norton, Mass.; three brothers, Paul Geary Paul Geary (born 24 July 1961, Medford, Massachusetts) was once the drummer for the Funk Metal band, Extreme. He was replaced in the group in 1994, by Mike Mangini.

Geary later worked as a manager for other musicians.
 Jr. of Millis, Mass., Stephen Geary Stephen Geary (1797 – 28 August 1854) was a British architect and entrepreneur.

His best known work was Highgate Cemetery, opened in 1839 where he designed an "Egyptian Avenue" and "Gothic Catacomb": he was also a founding member of the cemetery company.
 of Braintree, Mass., and Bill Geary of Cumberland, R.I.; and two sisters, MaryBeth Geary of North Attleborough, Mass., and Anne Geary of Plainville, Mass.

Eugene Lazowski Dr. Eugene Lazowski was a Polish Doctor who saved the lives of about 8,000 Jews by creating a fake typhus epidemic during World War II. He used medical science to save Jews and other Poles from being deported to the Nazi's concentration camps.  

Eugene Swavek Lazowski of Eugene died Dec. 16 of age-related causes at age 92. No local service is planned.

He was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Poland to Kazimierz and Zofia Lazowski.

Lazowski, a physician, was a former chief of staff of Chicago Children's Hospital School. He worked with the Polish Resistance during World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Alexandra Gerrard of Eugene; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His wife, Maria Lazowski, died previously.

A service will be held later in Chicago. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire. It is an ancient and widespread practice, second only to burial. It has been found among the chiefdoms of the Pacific Northwest, among Northern Athapascan bands in Alaska, and among Canadian cultural groups.  & Burial Service in Springfield.
