Charles Staggs

He attended the well-known Avery Institute, which prepared him for his entry to Lincoln University. Charles Henry (1859- ? ) was a French librarian and editor. He was born at Bollwiller, Haut-Rhin, and was educated in Paris, where in 1881 he became assiatant and afterward librarian in the Sorbonne.
 Staggs of Springfield, who died Nov. 21 of heart failure at age 76. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Siletz Community Center.

Staggs was born March 25, 1930, in Bessemer, Ala., to Charles and Minnie Turner Staggs. He married Gladys Aurilla on Oct. 14, 1946, in Stevenson, Wash.

He worked as a logger for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Co. for many years and previously served in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tom of Marcola and Ken of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; three daughters, Sue Langstaff of Siletz, Cheryl Ben of Lincoln City Lincoln City can refer to:

Kathryn Moore

SPRINGFIELD - A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Roseburg Memorial Gardens for Kathryn "Kay" Moore of Springfield, who died Nov. 22 of age related causes at 88. A visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.

She was born February 19, 1918, in Rose Hill, Kan., to William and Gula Allen Crowell. She married Charles "Chub Chub, in the Bible

She worked as a clerk in a drug store and in a school cafeteria in Sutherlin.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Nancy Greenstreet of Springfield, Jolene Birch of Creswell and Robin Edgar of Salem; two sons, Robert of Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  and Richard Splichal of Springfield; and a sister, Marge Miles, of Sacramento.

Edith Lininger

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Oceanside, Calif., for Edith Lininger of Eugene, who died Nov. 20 of age-related causes. She was 88.

She was born June 14, 1918, in Shell Rock, Iowa Shell Rock is a city in Butler County, Iowa, United States, along the Shell Rock River. The population was 1,298 at the 2000 census. The city is located along the county's eastern border, between Butler and Bremer counties. , to William and Anna Lane Plantz. She married Robert C. Lininger on May 1, 1941. He died in 1996.

She was a professional seamstress.

She is survived by a daughter, Nanelle Lane of Eugene; two sons, Ken of Seattle and Bill of Oceanside, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Lynn Holm

Mary Lynn Holm of Eugene died Nov. 15 of multiple organ failure at the age of 72. No service is planned.

She was born June 9, 1934, in Roseburg to George and Isabella Telford Holm. Her partner of 28 years, Lona Contreras, died Oct. 25.

She was a school teacher, teaching in New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. She is survived by a daughter, Lynn James of Eugene; a brother in Roseburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Alice Nicholls

Alice Nicholls of Eugene died Nov. 17 of causes related to age at 92. No service is planned.

She was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Los Angeles to Frank and Nita Bauchet Machette. She married Hugh Nicholls in 1945 in Eugene. He died in June 1970.

She was a housewife.

She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Kramer of Eugene; two brothers, Bill Machette of Albany and Frank Machette of Eugene; two sisters Dorothy Klug of Inglewood, Calif., and Vera Peiterson of Albany; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Jones

A private graveside service will be held at a later date for Marjorie J. Jones of Eugene, who died Nov. 22 of age-related causes at 87.

She was born June 1, 1919, in Leaburg to Vincent and Mary Fountain Gillespie.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a long-time companion, Jesse Neavoll; a son, Douglas Shisler of Eugene; a daughter, Sally Newcombe of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Coeur d'Alene (IPA: [kɚ də liːn]) is the county seat and largest city of Kootenai County, Idaho, United States. ; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Horace Woody

JUNCTION CITY - Horace Harold Woody of Junction City, formerly of Cottage Grove, died Nov. 19 of emphysema emphysema (ĕmfĭsē`mə), pathological or physiological enlargement or overdistention of the air sacs of the lungs. A major cause of pulmonary insufficiency in chronic cigarette smokers, emphysema is a progressive disease that commonly  at age 72. No service is planned.

He was born June 12, 1934, in Murphy, N.C., to Jesse and Elzie Clark Woody.

He was a logger and a timber faller.

He is survived by three sons, Ronald Woody, Harold Roberts and Jesse Woody; two daughters, Joyce Burkeen and Sandy Woolery; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A grandson, Randy, died previously.
