There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery). - Albert John Sousa II of Cottage Grove died July 23 of heart failure at age 69. At his request, no service is planned. He was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Oakland, Calif., to Albert and Irene Hendrickson Sousa. He married Alana Fischbach in Reno, Nev., on April 11, 1981. He served in the Marine Corps. and worked for the state of California for 31 years. He helped build the Oroville Dam Oroville Dam, 770 ft (235 m) high and 7,600 ft (2,317 m) long, on the Feather River, N Calif., near the city of Oroville. The largest unit of the Feather River project, the dam was built (1957–68) to provide electric power, drinking water, and irrigation for and was an assistant land surveyor with the Water Resources Division until his retirement in January 2000. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Zak of Sacramento and Alex of Cottage Grove; two daughters, Rachel Sousa of Sacramento and Lucy Sousa of Cottage Grove; two sisters, Patricia Castro of Burlingame, Calif., and Betty Sousa of San Rafael San Rafael (săn rəfĕl`), residential city (1990 pop. 48,404), seat of Marin co., W Calif., a suburb of San Francisco on the northern shore of San Francisco Bay; inc. 1913. , Calif.; and one grand- daughter. Clara O'Neill BROWNSVILLE - Clara Roberta O'Neill of Brownsville died July 29 of cancer at age 81. A private family service is planned. She was born July 10, 1925, in Carlinville, Ill., to Earl and Mabel Pierson Fryhoff. She married Harry O'Neill in 1945 in Springfield, Ill. He died previously. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Maggie O'Neill Maggie O'Neill is an English actress. She was born in 1967 in the Midlands, England. She made her professional debut in Moving Pictures at Leeds Playhouse in 1985. She plays Sheila Jackson in Channel 4's comedy drama Shameless. of Brownsville; two sons, Dennis of Roseburg and Gerald of Washington; a brother, Albert Fryhoff of Corpus Christi, Texas Corpus Christi is a coastal city and the county seat of Nueces CountyGR6 in the U.S. state of Texas. Phyllis Baumgartner A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Restoration Fellowship in Springfield for Phyllis Lorraine Johnson Baumgartner of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Springfield, who died July 25 at age 91. The family chose not to list the cause of death. She was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Zion City, Ill., to John and Osa Shriner Johnson. She married Nick Baumgartner. He died in 1960. She worked as a home health aide. Survivors include a daughter, Vonette Finley of Vancouver; a son, Everett Johnson of Potter Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grand- children.
