Ray Ackerman

A memorial service is planned for later in May for Ray Ackerman of Eugene, who died May 3 of cancer at age 88.

He was born Nov. 25, 1917, in Agency, Iowa Agency is a city in Wapello County, Iowa, USA. The population was 622 at the 2000 census. It is the historic site of an Indian trading post and the grave of Chief Wapello. History

Nadine Eagan

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Nadine Marie Scheid Eagan of Eugene, who died May 4 of complications from Alzheimer's disease Alzheimer's disease (ăls`hī'mərz, ôls–), degenerative disease of nerve cells in the cerebral cortex that leads to atrophy of the brain and senile dementia.  at age 76.

She was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Pierre, S.D., to Albert and Mary Little Scheid. She married Kenneth Eagan on Oct. 5, 1947, in Alvadore. She worked as a housekeeper at the Eugene Clinic for 18 years.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Christine Eagan-White; a son, Larry; two brothers, Albert Scheid and Nolan Scheid; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Remembrances to the Alzheimer's Association.

Bernard Reynolds

 funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Forestvale Memorial Park in Oakridge for Bernard "B.T." Reynolds, of Oakridge, who died May 2 of age-related causes at age 87.

He was born Jan. 21, 1919, in Pound, Va., to William and Clara Whitaker Reynolds. He married Beulah Rose on Oct. 5, 1945, in Baltimore. Reynolds served in the U.S. Army. He worked for 26 years as a coal miner and 18 years as a sawmill sawmill, installation or facility in which cut logs are sawed into standard-sized boards and timbers. The saws used in such an installation are generally of three types: the circular saw, which consists of a disk with teeth around its edge; the band saw, which  worker.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debbie Stalcup, Barbara Keller and Judy Troute; a sister, June Johnson; a brother, Bob; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. July 2 in Pound, Va. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire. It is an ancient and widespread practice, second only to burial. It has been found among the chiefdoms of the Pacific Northwest, among Northern Athapascan bands in Alaska, and among Canadian cultural groups.  & Burial Service in Springfield.

Bennie Johnson

SPRINGFIELD - Bennie Johnson of Springfield died May 4 of age-related causes at age 87. No service is planned.

He was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Canada. He married Lorry Selner in 1958. She died previously. Johnson served in the U.S. Army and worked for the federal government.

Survivors include a son, Miles; a daughter, Barbara Crownover; two stepsons, Jim Selner and Bob Selner; a stepdaughter step·daugh·ter

LaVera Lyons

OAKRIDGE - The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Reedsport Cemetery for LaVera "Ann" Lyons of Oakridge, who died May 3 of a heart attack at age 65.

She was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Beatrice, Neb., to Victor and Vera Reed Marble. She married Ival Lyons on Oct. 31, 1958, in Boise. He died March 3, 1986. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her mother; two daughters, Cheryl Frashure and Tena Brady; four sons, Randy, Jeff, James and Christopher; three brothers, Victor Marble, David Marble and Dennis Marble; three sisters, Gail Augdon, Carol Larson and Kathleen; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A son, Robert Lyons, died previously.
