Delbert Wilson

A cryptside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Delbert Avery Wilson of Eugene. He died April 20 of age-related causes at age 86.

He was born March 20, 1920, in Eugene to John and Eva Houston Wilson. He married Lillian Roe on Jan. 13, 1946, in Eugene. She died May 17, 2005.

He served in the Army in World War II in the European theater. He worked in the physical plant for the University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities.  for 35 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Tryon and Gladys Hayes; and several grandchildren and great-grand- children.

He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Salem to Cliff and Marcella Strom. He was married to Mary Strom for 22 years before they divorced.

He had worked as a sales representative for Farwest Steel and Steelhead Fabrication fabrication (fab´rikā´shn),
n the construction or making of a restoration.

Survivors include his life partner, Ester Foster; his parents; a son, Steven; a daughter, Leah Wall; a sister, Suzanne Lyon; a brother, Daniel; and seven grandchildren.

MARCOLA - A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for Leo D. Jeffers of Marcola, who died April 20 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 86.

He was born July 30, 1919, in Cushman to Ira and Bertha Luce Jeffers. He married Lucile Muse on Aug. 19, 1949, in Eugene. She died Oct. 20, 2003.

He served in the military during World War II in the Pacific theater Pacific Theater or Pacific Theatre may refer to

  • Pacific Ocean theater of World War II
 from 1942 to 1945. He had worked in road construction in western Lane County; as a log scaler The log scaler is an occupation in the timber industry. The Log Scaler measures the cut trees to determine the scale (volume) of the wood to be used for manufacturing. There are several different scales or rules that are used to determine the volume of wood.  in logging camps in Oakridge and Powers; for Hanna Nickel Mine; and for Weyerhaeuser for 20 years.

Survivors include four daughters, Celia Randolph, Leona Jeffers, Diana Bowers and Brenda Tuomi; a son, Stanley; three brothers, Clarence "Buddy," Donald and Henry; four sisters, Mildred Haynes, Alta Blomquist, Lenora Young and Evelyn Seidel sei·del

Garry Becker

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today, at 3978 Barger Drive in Eugene, for Garry L. Becker of Eugene, who died April 19 of a heart attack at age 56.

He was born July 1, 1949, in Maywood, Calif., to John and Bonnie Becker. He married Kathie Williams in 2000 in Eugene.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; two sons, Joe and Kyle; a stepson step·son

Lila Sudrow

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  for Lila Ikola Sudrow of Cottage Grove, who died April 21 of age-related causes at age 94.

She was born May 8, 1911, in Reisjarvi, Finland, to Andrew and Elsie Ollikala Brandt. She married John Ikola in Minnesota in 1930. He died in 1969. She married Carl Sudrow in Cottage Grove in 1948. He died March 22, 1988.

She was a homemaker who had lived in Cottage Grove since 1948.

Survivors include two sons, Richard and Robert; two daughters, Helen Hull and Eleanor Saltsgaver; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A son, Raymond, and a daughter, Anna Trader, died previously.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove.

Annie Smith

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 24, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Annie Mae Smith of Springfield, who died April 22 of age-related causes at age 87.

She was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Seligman, Okla., to Christopher and Mahala Roberts Moore. She married William Smith in 1937, in Westville, Okla. He died in 1988.

She was a homemaker who had lived in Lane County since 1999.

Survivors include three brothers, Marion, Harold and David Moore.

Burial will be at Proctor Cemetery in Proctor, Okla. Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.
