Byline: The Register-Guard

Don Delp

Don Delp of Eugene died April 14 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 71. No service is planned.

He was born March 15, 1935, in Springfield to Sidney and Ruth Dalton Florence Ruth Dalton, Baroness Dalton (1890 – 15 March 1966),[1] known as Ruth Dalton, was a British Labour Party politician. A long serving member of the London County Council, she also holds the record for the shortest-serving female Member of Parliament  Delp. He married Shirley Jensen on Sept. 26, 1959, in Eugene. He worked for Williams' Bakery for 28 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark; a sister, Betty Allison; and two grandchildren.

Una Olson

 service is planned at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene for Una A. Olson of Oregon City, formerly of Eugene, who died April 18 of cancer at age 87.

She was born May 3, 1918, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Hans and Petrea Nielsen. She married Everett Olson on June 25, 1938, in Oberlin, Kan. He died in September 1990.

She was a teacher in Nebraska and worked as a middle school secretary in the Eugene School District Eugene School District (4J) is a public school district in the U.S. state of Oregon. It serves the city of Eugene Elementary schools

  • Alternative Kindergarten
  • Awbrey Park Elementary School
  • Bertha Holt Elementary School
 for 17 years.

Survivors include four sons, Lee, Eldon, Paul and Gene; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A son, Jon, died previously.

LuVern Schmidt

The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Eugene for LuVern Everett Schmidt of Eugene, who died April 18 of cancer at age 77.

He was born June 27, 1928, in Hillsboro to Louis and Theresa Grand Schmidt. He married Teresa Sander on July 30, 1955, in Tillamook.

Schmidt served in the U.S. Army in Japan during World War II. He worked in the insurance and real estate business.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Greg, David and Christopher; a daughter, Ann Fitzgibbon; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at the church, and burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Willamette National Cemetery Willamette National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery in Clackamas County, Oregon, about 10 miles southeast of the city of Portland, Oregon. It encompasses 269.4 acres, and as of the end of 2005, had 126,561 interments.  in Portland. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire. It is an ancient and widespread practice, second only to burial. It has been found among the chiefdoms of the Pacific Northwest, among Northern Athapascan bands in Alaska, and among Canadian cultural groups.  & Burial in Springfield. Hazel Sheraden

Hazel Ann Sheraden of Eugene died April 17 of ovarian cancer ovarian cancer

Malignant tumour of the ovaries. Risk factors include early age of first menstruation (before age 12), late onset of menopause (after age 52), absence of pregnancy, presence of specific genetic mutations, use of fertility drugs, and personal history of breast
 at age 64. No service is planned.

She was born Nov. 25, 1941, in Moline, Ill., to Don and Marie Slead. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her mother, Marie Slead; two daughters, Julie Steen and Sherry Brown; a son, Rick Steen; five siblings, Dave Jarrard, Judy Woods, Donna Gunderson, Glen Slead and Mary Colton; six grandchildren; and three great-grand- children.

Frederick Littlejohn

SPRINGFIELD - A time for memorial sharing will be held during worship at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 23, at Coburg United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism).  in Coburg for Frederick Heath Reagan Littlejohn of Springfield. He died April 9 of cancer at age 76.

He was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Bremerton, Wash., the son of Jack Littlejohn. He and his wife, Marjorie, were married Dec. 27, 1954, in Warrenton.

He served in the Army during the Korean War Korean War, conflict between Communist and non-Communist forces in Korea from June 25, 1950, to July 27, 1953. At the end of World War II, Korea was divided at the 38th parallel into Soviet (North Korean) and U.S. (South Korean) zones of occupation. . He worked for the Coast Guard as a painter at Tongue Point in Astoria and as a housing maintenance foreman in Kodiak, Alaska.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Laura Littlejohn; a sister, Evelyn Grattan; a brother, Jack; and two grandchildren. A daughter, Peggy Littlejohn, died previously.

A graveside service was April 12 at Ocean View Cemetery in Astoria. Arrangements by Caldwell's Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria. Remembrances to the Astoria or Coburg United Methodist churches, hospice or Clatsop County Food Bank.

Clarification

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is home to a New Jersey Synod congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our Redeemer is located in the city of Dumont, New Jersey.

The congregation recently celebrated its 75th anniversary.
