Shear of Eugene, who died April 2 of a stroke at age 85. She was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Wamic, to Lyman and Harriett Palmateer Booth. She married Forest Shear on Dec. 6, 1941, in Eugene. She worked for 19 years as a cook at Eugene Fruit Growers. Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Booth and Charles Hams; and four sisters, Irene Skuzie, Ann Farrar, Bonnie Gibson and Arlene Brown. Her husband died Nov. 25, 1993. A family gathering will follow the funeral at the Lighthouse Temple in Eugene. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.
