He was 96. Angel was born Oct. 13, 1909, in Chili, Wis., to Daws and Minnie Barnard Angel. He married Mary Rose The Mary Rose was an English Tudor carrack warship and one of the first to be able to fire a full broadside of cannons. The Mary Rose was well equipped with 78 guns (91 after an upgrade in 1536). Sullivan in Seattle on Dec. 30, 1932. She died June 6, 1989. Angel attended school in Los Gatos Los Gatos (lôs gä`tōs, lŏs, găt`əs), city (1990 pop. 27,357), Santa Clara co., W Calif.; inc. 1887. It is an affluent residential community and health resort. , Calif. He lived in San Jose, Calif., before moving to Cottage Grove in 1947. He was in the Marine Corps from 1933 to 1941. Angel worked at shipyards after he left the Marines and later at several local mills as a lumber grader. Angel enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cattle and spending time with family. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Volesky and Claudia Kimery, both of Cottage Grove; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Nadine Emery, and two grandchildren, Andrew Kimery and Matthew Woody, died previously. She had lived in Eugene for 60 years and previously lived in Sioux City, Salina Salina (səlī`nə), city (1990 pop. 42,303), seat of Saline co., central Kans., on the Smoky Hill River; founded 1858 by settlers opposed to slavery, inc. 1870. , Kan., and Renton, Wash. She was a longtime homemaker and also worked in the family drapery business. She enjoyed creating landscapes and still life oil paintings, reading, the outdoors and flower gardening. She also liked holiday baking, and her family will remember her for her "melting moments" and butter spritz cookies. Throughout the Middle Ages and until about the end of the 18th cent. , Nev., La Mar Meacham of Sunnyside, Wash., and Duane Meacham of Yakima; two sisters, Donna Lynde and Delia Kirby, both of Yakima; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A daughter, Carol Jean, and two brothers, Ivan Meachan and Truman Meach- an, died previously. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
