Carolyn Kloehn

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held Sept. 23 for Carolyn May Kloehn of Springfield, who died Sept. 16 of complications from cancer. She was 75.

She was born July 26, 1930, in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  to Elmo and Bernice Norcross Beatty. She married Edward John Edward John is a prominent First Nations political leader in Canada. The son of Louis and Amelia John, he was born on July 8, 1949 in the Carrier village of Tache, along the north shore of Stuart Lake, about 60 km from Fort St. James, British Columbia.  Kloehn on Dec. 8, 1948. He died Feb. 22, 1998.

She lived in Oxnard, Calif., before moving to Vaughn in 1964. Kloehn had lived in Springfield since 1974. She was employed as a hostess and cashier CASHIER. An officer of a moneyed institution, who is entitled by virtue of his office to take care of the cash or money of such institution.

Kloehn enjoyed television, cooking, artwork and playing with her dog. She was a member of the Moose Moose, river, Canada
Moose, river, c.50 mi (80 km) long, formed in central Ont., Canada, by the Mattagami and Missinaibi rivers. It flows NE to its confluence with the Abitibi River and into SW James Bay near Moosonee.

Survivors include a son, William of Silver Spring, Md.; two daughters, Jeanette Weekly and Shelly Amacher, both of Springfield; a brother, David Beatty David Beatty is the name of:
  • David Beatty, 1st Earl Beatty (1871-1936), UK admiral in the Royal Navy
  • David L. Beatty (1798-1881), Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky
 of Oxnard; two sisters, Betty Jo Caldwell of Tehachipi, Calif., and Mary Lou Heflin of Arizona; 10 grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16.  and five great-grandchildren.

A son, Larry, died in 2003.

Friday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene.

Memorial contributions may be made to Willamette Community Hospice.
