OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Mary McKy Mary F. McKy of Eugene died Sept. 13 of age-related causes. She was 85. McKy was born Jan. 4, 1920, in St. Louis, to Fred and Gertrude Tuebner. She married Rex McKy in 1944 in St. Louis. She had lived in Eugene for 60 years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald of Eugene; a daughter, Diane Ikola of Sweet Home; three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. No service is planned. Larry White Larry David White (born September 25, 1958 in San Fernando, California) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He pitched in 11 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1983 & 1984 seasons. A memorial service will be held Sept. 17 for Larry Allen Larry Christopher Allen, Sr. (born on November 27, 1971 in Los Angeles, California) is an American football player who currently plays offensive guard for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. White of Eugene, who died Sept. 3 in a train-pedestrian accident. He was 33. White was born Dec. 21, 1971, in Eugene. He worked for Lanz Cabinet Shop. Cynthia Kropf HALSEY - The funeral will be held Sept. 18 for Cynthia Joy Kropf of Halsey, who died Sept. 12 of cancer. She was 42. She was born Sept. 18, 1962, in Fort Wayne Fort Wayne, city (1990 pop. 173,072), seat of Allen co., NE Ind., where the St. Joseph and St. Marys rivers join to form the Maumee River; inc. 1840. It is the second largest city in the state, a major railroad and shipping point, a wholesale and distribution hub, , Ind., to Wilmer and Fay Brothers Bechtel. She married Jonathan Kropf on April 29, 1983. She taught at the Lake Creek Mennonite School and at Porter Mennonite Church's Christian Day School. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, music, crocheting, rubber stamping, photography and nature. Her latest venture was making soaps, chap sticks and bath salts. She was a member of Harrisburg Mennonite Church Noun 1. Springs, Md., Miriam Lopez of Estacada and Sonya Miller of LaMonte, Mo. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Harrisburg Mennonite Church. Clifford Olson Clifford Dale Olson of Eugene died Aug. 12 of a heart attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was 58. A memorial service was held Sept. 10 at the Friends Church in Eugene. Olson was born Nov. 3, 1946, in Michigan, to Kenneth and Lillian Olson. He received a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Michigan (body, education) University of Michigan - A large cosmopolitan university in the Midwest USA. He lived in the Eugene area for 20 years. At the time of his death, Olson was in Bangladesh working for the USAID USAID United States Agency for International Development USAID Agencia de los Estados Unidos para el Desarrollo Internacional (Spanish) agency on contraceptive social marketing and logistics management programs. He had been an adviser to USAID in Bangladesh since 2004. He had worked in design, management and evaluation of child and reproductive health programs in the developing world for more than 25 years, serving on five continents and in 36 countries. His family will remember him for his dedication to his work to ease world poverty and suffering, his great love of the people in countries where he worked, and his warmth and friendship. Survivors include his mother, of Michigan; two daughters, Erica Yeaton Olson of Eugene and Janne Yeaton Olson of Boston; a brother, Charles Olson; and a sister, Linda Miles. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to hurricane relief efforts. Johanna Rodenhuis A memorial service will be held Oct. 1 for Johanna Elizabeth "Betty" Rodenhuis of Eugene, who died Sept. 5 of age-related causes. She was 87. Rodenhuis was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Kenosha, Wis., to Martin and Anna Van der Zwaan Bultman. She married Earl Rodenhuis on April 4, 1940, in Los Angeles. He died Jan. 14, 1993. She attended school in Los Angeles. She had lived in Eugene for three years and previously lived in Salem for 56 years. A homemaker, Rodenhuis enjoyed travel, deep-sea fishing, camping and gardening.
