Rebecca Biggerstaff

A memorial service will be held July 13 for Rebecca Biggerstaff of Eugene, who died July 7 of age-related causes. She was 87.

Biggerstaff was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Goldendale, Wash. She married Laurence Biggerstaff on Dec. 31, 1938, in Cottage Grove Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery). .

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sherron Bassett of Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley, ; and two grandchildren.

Wednesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church in Eugene. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Allum-Derickson

The funeral will be July 12 for Mary Allum-Derickson of Eugene, who died July 8 of complications of Alzheimer's disease Alzheimer's disease (ăls`hī'mərz, ôls–), degenerative disease of nerve cells in the cerebral cortex that leads to atrophy of the brain and senile dementia. . She was 84.

Allum-Derickson was born June 12, 1921, in Pleasant Hill to Horace and Emaline Moon Blood. She was a lifelong resident of Lane County.

She married Bill Allum in Eugene on April 27, 1941. He died Oct. 16, 1966. She later married Donald Derickson in Eugene on May 27, 1978.

She graduated from Eugene High School.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Greg Allum of Burns; four daughters, Billie Sparks of Crooked River Ranch, Beverly "Babe" Ankeny of Eugene, Winona "Nonie" Bayne of McMinnville and Jacqueline "Jackie" Cummings of Eugene; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield. Tuesday's funeral will be at 10 a.m. at Norkenzie Christian Church. A private burial will follow at Rest-Haven Memorial Park. The funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Truman Robison

SPRINGFIELD - Truman Royal Robison of Springfield died July 4 of age-related causes. He was 81.

Robison was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Beatrice, Neb., to Jack and Leona Scalf Robison.

He grew up and attended school in Nebraska. He moved to Springfield 30 years ago.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at an early age and served aboard a supply ship during World War II. He later served as a security guard at a newspaper in Wichita, Kan.

He enjoyed billiards billiards, any one of a number of games played with a tapered, leather-tipped stick called a cue and various numbers of balls on a rectangular, cloth-covered slate table with raised and cushioned edges. , cribbage cribbage (krĭb`ĭj), card game played by two persons with a deck of 52 cards and a scoring (pegging) device known as a cribbage board.  and fishing.

Survivors include a sister, Meredith Hover of Springfield.

Ricky Brown Jr.

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral was held July 9 for Ricky L. Brown Jr. of Springfield, who drowned, possibly because of suffering a seizure, July 5 while fishing in the Willamette River. He was 26.

Brown was born July 15, 1978, in Eugene, to Rick and Tina MaGee Brown. His mother later died.

He was a 1997 graduate of Springfield High School Springfield High School may refer to:

Hazel McDonald

A memorial service will be held July 13 for Hazel Virginia McDonald of Eugene, who died June 30 of age-related causes. She was 101.

She was born May 21, 1904, in Cairo, Ohio, to Charles and Bessie Shoemaker Armentrout. She married Kenneth Smith in Ohio in the 1920s. She later married Lawrence McDonald in 1933 in Buffalo, N.Y. He died May 13, 1984.

She lived in Atlanta, Buffalo, Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades Palisades, cliffs along the west bank of the Hudson River, NE N.J. and SE N.Y., extending from N of Jersey City, N.J., to the vicinity of Piermont, N.Y., with a general altitude of from 350 ft to 550 ft (107–168 m). , Calif., and Oceanside, Calif., before moving to Eugene in 1998.

She graduated from high school and normal school. She worked as a school teacher for one year and worked for Statham Instruments for 20 years before her retirement. She collected stamps and coins, musical and animated objects, horses and cups and saucers Cups and Saucers is a one-act "satirical musical sketch" written and composed by George Grossmith. Wednesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Songbrook club house in Eugene. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Donald Griffin

Donald Eugene Griffin of Eugene died June 29 of cancer. He was 47.

Griffin was born Feb. 4, 1958, in Fairfield, Calif., to Edward and Alice Griffin.

He graduated from Brown High School and served in the Marine Corps from 1976 to 1984.

He had lived in Eugene for 20 years and previously lived in Vacaville, Calif., Boise and San Diego. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing video games.

Survivors include a son, Donald Jr. of Eugene; a brother, Russell of Orofino, Idaho; and two sisters, Sheri Newberry of Colona, Ill., and Ruth Smithson of Omaha, Neb.

Services have been held. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
