OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Sarah Giovanini DRAIN - A memorial service will be held Jan. 25 for Sarah Irene Giovanini of Drain, who died Jan. 22 of age-related causes. She was 90. She was born Sept. 2, 1914, in Dallas, Ore., to Newton and Catherine Hart Griffis. She lived in Oakridge, Yachats, Little River and Oakland, Ore., before moving to Drain in the 1950s. Giovanini was married to Tony Giovanini. He died Feb. 19, 1992. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling and the beach. She and her husband spent winters in Arizona for many years. At age 79, she traveled to Kenya with one of her daughters. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations. The children of one's children. Sometimes these may claim bequests given in a will to children, though in general they can make no such claim. 6 Co. 16. and great-grand- children. Giovanini was a member of Drain Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Hess of Drain and Dick Hess of Yoncalla; four daughters, JoAnn Peck peck: see English units of measurement. of Eagle Point, Roberta Heaton and Linda Coppel, both of Drain, and Kathy Hess of Yoncalla; a sister, Catherine Kelly of Yoncalla; and 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand- children. A son, Bill, and a grandson Grandson (gräNsôN`), Ger. Grandsee, town (1990 pop. 2,473), Vaud canton, W Switzerland, at the southwestern end of the Lake of Neuchâtel. , Rick, died previously. Tuesday's service will be at 11 a.m. at Drain Church of Christ. Interment will be at Drain Cemetery. He was born April 4, 1909, in Denver to Arthur and Mary Haltvogk Lund. He married Louise Massey in Scurry, Texas Scurry is a town in Kaufman County, Texas, United States. Recently incorporated, it had an estimated population of 644 in 2006.[1] The Scurry-Rosser Independent School District serves Scurry as well as the towns of Rosser, Cottonwood, and Grays Prairie in . She died in 1994. Lund enjoyed gardening, woodworking and animals. He was a member of Reedsport Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Ervin of Winston, Timmy of Sacramento and Wendell of Sheridan; a daughter, Heidi Barry of Arlington; a sister, Pearl Crippen of Tacoma; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Wesley Wills CRESWELL - A memorial service will be held Jan. 26 for Wesley Eldon Wills of Creswell, who died Jan. 22 of age-related causes. He was 81. He was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Goshen to William and Ruth Adams Wills, and lived in the Eugene and Creswell areas his entire life. He married Jacqueline Sue Miller in Nevada on Jan. 27, 1976. Wills served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to stacker. He loved to fish, and he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife; a brother, William of Seattle; and two sisters, Helen Knight of Springfield and Mary Friend of Eugene. Wednesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove. Private interment will be at Franklin Cemetery.
