OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Lorrence Piper Private family services are planned for Lorrence Allen Piper of Eugene, who died Nov. 30 of age-related causes. He was 80. Piper was born May 1, 1924, in Dayscreek to Kenneth and Ann Penoyer. He married Maxine Temple Walling in 1955. They later divorced, and he married Nellie Herring in 1972 in Coquille co·quille n. Piper belonged to Coquille Valley Elks 1935 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member and past master of Chadwick Lodge 68. He belonged to the Coquille Methodist Church. He enjoyed golf and hunting. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janice McCartney of Clackamas; two sons, Doug Walling of Eugene and Jamie Herring of Brookings; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Martin Search SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be Dec. 6 for Martin James Search, who died Dec. 1 at age 34. The family chose not to list a cause of death. Search was born April 14, 1970, in Bend to Vernon and MaryLee Holyfield Martin Search. He married Nikki Search in Caldwell, Idaho, on Jan. 2, 1999. Search lived in Caldwell and Wilder, Idaho, and in Springfield for four years. Search graduated from Wilder High School Wilder High School is a high school in Wilder, Idaho, USA. and he attended Boise State University for two years. He worked as a tire sales and service representative at Les Schwab Tires. He enjoyed snow skiing, motorcycles, karaoke, and hunting with his stepson step·son n.
