Robert "Jim" Creasey A memorial service will be held Dec. 1 for Robert Jimmy "Jim" Creasey of Eugene, who died Nov. 20 of lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States in both men and women. Like other cancers, lung cancer occurs after repeated insults to the genetic material of the cell. . He was 68. Creasey was born Oct. 15, 1936, in French Camp, Calif., to Lloyd and Wanda Strehlow Creasey. He married Jeannine Hulse on May 26, 1955, in Eugene. She died Nov. 1, 1993. He married Nancy Fassett on Aug. 13, 1994, in Eugene. He graduated from Willamette High School Willamette High School is a school in Eugene, Oregon. Willamette, or "Wil-Hi," is located in the Bethel-Danebo area of west Eugene, and is the only high school in the Bethel School District. in 1954. He served in the Army in Japan from 1956 to 1958 and worked in the grocery business from 1958 to 1970 as the owner of McCabe's Market. He moved to Roseburg in the 1970s and worked as manager of a fruit and produce company. He worked at Sims Electric from 1976 to 1979. She previously lived in Kearney and Omaha, Neb., and Roseburg, and had lived in Eugene for the past 43 years.
