Evelyn Couch

The funeral will be Nov. 11 for Evelyn R. Couch of Eugene, who died Nov. 7 of cancer. She was 82.

She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Santa Ana Santa Ana, city, El Salvador
Santa Ana (sän'tä ä`nä), city (1993 pop. 129,873), W El Salvador. It is the second largest city in the country and the commercial and processing center for a sugarcane, coffee, and cattle region.
, Calif., to Glen and Jean Nice Dupuy. She married Henry G. Couch in Eugene. He died in July 1982.

A Eugene resident for most of her life, she worked for 36 years at Eugene Fruit Growers. She enjoyed playing dice with her sisters, reading, traveling to Nashville, bingo and casinos.

Survivors include four sons, Gene, George and Randy, all of Eugene, and Howard of La Pine; two daughters, Margaret Parmer and Melva Taylor, both of Eugene; two sisters, Adele Wood and Hazel Brown, both of Eugene; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A son, Donald, died in September 2002.

Thursday's service will be at 11 a.m. at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene. Private burial will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley, .

Jacquelyn Romm

The funeral will be held Nov. 10 for Jacquelyn Romm of Eugene, who died Nov. 8 of breast cancer. She was 56.

She was born Feb. 27, 1948, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Norman and Florence Pivar Rose. She married Richard Romm on June 21, 1969, in Brooklyn.

She held a bachelors degree from Brooklyn College Brooklyn College: see New York, City University of.  and a JD degree from the University of Oregon School of Law The University of Oregon School of Law, housed in the Knight Law Center, is Oregon's state funded law school. The school was founded in 1884.[1] The school is located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, on the corner of 15th and Agate streets, . She worked as an English teacher and as a lawyer. She was a partner in the law firm of Walters, Romm, Chanti and Dickens, PC.

She was a member of the Lane County Legal Aid board of directors, on the Hillel Advisory Board, the Metropolitan Opera Guild and served as president of the Southern Willamette Private Industry Council. Her family will remember her "fierce devotion to those she loved" that made her not only a "tremendous mother, wife and friend but gifted teacher and attorney."

Survivors include her husband; her father, now of Tamarak, Fla.; one daughter. Robin Romm of Berkeley, Calif.; and a brother, Larry Rose of Huntington, N.Y.

Wednesday's service will be at 1 p.m. at Temple Beth Israel Beth Israel, which means "House of Israel" in Hebrew, could refer for:

  • Temple Beth Israel
  • Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford, Connecticut
 in Eugene. Private burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Eugene. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral will be Nov. 11 for Vernon L. Sturgeon of Eugene, who died Nov. 7 of age-related causes. He was 89.

He was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Chandler, Ariz., to George and Josephine Sturgeon. He married Esther Maston on July 1, 1938, in Longview, Wash. She died May 17, 1990. He married Edythe Cole on July 19, 1992, in Eugene.

He owned and operated a milk distributing company. He enjoyed watching sports and politics on television.

Thursday's service will be at 4 p.m. at South Hills Assembly of God Church in Eugene. Private burial will be in in West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Christians Addressing Family Abuse.

Angela Ables

The funeral will be held Nov. 11 for Angela Ables of Eugene, who died Nov. 5 of complications from leukemia. She was 32.

She was born Feb. 7, 1972, in Burns, to Rob and Wanda Morrison. She graduated from Bend High School Bend Senior High School is the oldest high school located in Bend, Oregon, United States. The school opened in 1904, but did not graduate its first class of seniors (three students) until 1909. .

She worked as an account executive for Metrocall. She enjoyed singing, painting, spending time with friends and family and with her pets. She also was a member of a Friday night Bible study group. Her family will remember her as a "successful businesswoman, accomplished singer and wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend."

David Edgar Goss, 59, of Eugene, died Nov. 2. He was born Jan. 9, 1945, in Fallbrook, Calif., to Richard and Sarah Ursham Goss. Rest-Haven Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
