COTTAGE GROVE Cottage Grove, village (1990 pop. 22,935), Washington co., SE Minn., near the St. Croix River; inc. 1965. There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery).  - A memorial service will be held Oct. 26 for Charles D. "Chuck" Cook Jr. of Cottage Grove, who died Oct. 21 from injuries suffered in an auto accident. He was 30.

Cook was born Sept. 25, 1974, to Charles Cook Sr. He attended school in Cottage Grove and he was a lifelong resident of Cottage Grove and Creswell.

He was employed at Fircrest Farms in Creswell for a number of years. Cook liked the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his father; a stepmother, Bonnie Cook of Cottage Grove; a daughter, Brittany Cook; a son, Anthony Cook; a sister, Trisha; and a stepbrother step·broth·er

Edna Anderson Edna Anderson (born 9 November 1922 in St. Catharines, Ontario) was a member of the Canadian House of Commons from 1988 to 1993.

The career businesswoman was elected in the 1988 federal election at the Simcoe Centre electoral district for the Progressive Conservative party.
 

SPRINGFIELD - Edna "Fern" Anderson of Springfield died Oct. 20 of age-related causes. She was 86. No service is planned.

Anderson was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Springfield, to Andrew Nelson Andrew Nathaniel Nelson (December 23 1893 - May 17 1975) was an American missionary and scholar of East Asian languages and literature, best-known for his work in Japanese lexicography.

He was born in Great Falls, Montana to Swedish immigrant parents and earned his B.A.
 and Della Gertrude Buttery Fisher. She married Ralph Gillette in 1938. The couple divorced in 1945. She married Russell Anderson Russell Anderson (born October 25 1978 in Aberdeen) is a Scottish football defender who currently plays for Sunderland in the Premier League. Club career

She was a lifetime resident of Springfield. She enjoyed spending time "Spending Time" is the first single released by Christian artist Stellar Kart.

The lyrics describe the band members desire to spend "more time with God". "Sometimes it’s a real struggle to spend time with God.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Phillip Gillette of Springfield; a daughter, Jeannie Friesendahl of Klamath Falls; a brother, Blaine Fisher of Springfield; five grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grand- children.

Buell Funeral Chapel of Springfield is in charge of arrangements. Patsy DuBray

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be Oct. 25 for Patsy Lou Jones DuBray of Springfield, who died Oct. 21 of breast cancer. She was 53.

DuBray was born March 22, 1951, in Reidsville, N.C., to Joseph Lester and Sarah Snead Jones.

She married Gary DuBray on June 26, 1993, in Springfield.

She graduated from Ruffin High school in Ruffin, N.C., and attended Rockingham Community College Rockingham Community College is a public community college located in Wentworth, North Carolina. It is part of the North Carolina Community College System. External links

George P. Bouche

COTTAGE GROVE - A memorial service will be held Oct. 26 for George P. Bouche of Cottage Grove, who died Oct. 22 of a cardiac-related illness. He was 62.

Bouche was born April 7, 1942, in Salem to Paris and Thelma Bouche. He grew up and attended school in Canyonville and later lived in Lane County for 45 years.

He was employed as a log truck driver for Weyerhaeuser, where he retired after 40 years of service.

Bouche served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in Alaska.

Survivors include his parents; three sons, Paul of Richland, and Perry and Patrick, both of Cottage Grove; a daughter, Joelene Bouche of Springfield; two brothers, Joel and Walter, both of Bend; and five grandchildren.

Tuesday's service will be at 1:30 p.m. at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove. Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
