OBITUARIES.Byline: The Register-Guard Steven Walters SPRINGFIELD - A celebration of life will be held Aug. 8 for Steven M. Walters of Springfield, who died Aug. 1 of heart failure. He was 50. Walters was born March 17, 1953, in Duluth, Minn., to Raymond and Martha Kovacevich Walters. He married Julie M. Abbett in Duluth in 1981. They later divorced. He attended high school in Duluth and served in the Army. He lived in Minnesota, Colorado and Texas as well as Oregon. His most recent job was delivering medical items for CareMedical. Walters enjoyed cooking, barbecuing and dining, action and comedy movies, and white-water rafting. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his father and stepmother, June Walters, of Minnesota; three daughters, Danielle Martinez and Tyra Walters, both of Springfield, and Dana of Elmira; two brothers, Joseph of Coon Rapids Coon Rapids, city (1990 pop. 52,978), Anoka co., SE Minn., on the Mississippi River; inc. 1952. It is a suburb of Minneapolis–St. Paul. Transportation equipment, fabricated metal products, and medical equipment are produced. , Minn., and David of Springfield; and one grandchild. She married Lowell "Lee" Desler in Hood River The Hood River is a tributary of the Columbia River in northwestern Oregon in the United States. Approximately 25 mi (40 km) long from its mouth to its farthest headwaters on the East Fork, the river descends from wilderness areas in the Cascade Range on Mount Hood and flows in 1942. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and helping others. Survivors include her husband; a son, Daniel of Eugene; a daughter, Jean Palziski of Lorane; a sister, Jean Markel of Sidney, Neb.; five grandchildren GRANDCHILDREN, domestic relations.
