Byline: The Register-Guard

Donald Hagerman Sr.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at 440 Wilkie St. in Eugene for Donald L. Hagerman Sr. of Eugene. He died Aug. 4 of cancer at age 68.

He was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo. (inc. 1850). , Mo., to Vernie and Ruth Johnson Ruth Johnson is currently the elected County Clerk and Register of Deeds for Oakland County, Michigan. She was elected Clerk in 2004 after defeating long-time incumbent William "Doc" Caddell in the Republican Primary 56%-44%.  Hagerman. He married Sandra Frasieur on Dec. 31, 1992.

Hagerman had a high school education and served in the Navy and the Army National Guard. He worked as a diesel mechanic until his retirement, then worked as a handyman.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald Jr. and Donavon, both of Eugene, and Jeff of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Cheyenne Heron of Portland and Patty Homer of Edmonds, Wash.; a brother, R. Norman Davis Norman Davis (1878 - 1944), was a U.S. diplomat. He was born in Bedford, Tennessee. He served as President Wilson's Assistant Secretary of Treasury and later as Undersecretary of State. He was a delegate to a General Disarmament Conference in Geneva in 1931.  of Eugene; two stepsons, Chad Frasieur of Springfield and Aaron Frasieur of Burlington, Wash.; a stepdaughter step·daugh·ter

Linda Johnson

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Eugene for Linda Kay Johnson of Portland, formerly of Eugene, who died Aug. 17 at age 60. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

She was born June 26, 1947, in Eugene to Paul and Lois Hoyt Johnson.

She graduated from South Eugene High School South Eugene High School is a public high school located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was founded as Eugene High School around 1900, and was located at Willamette Street and West 11th Avenue in a brick building that later served as Eugene's city hall.  in 1963. She received a bachelor's degree in sociology in 1971 and a bachelor's degree in business in 1979, both from the University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities. .

Johnson was a librarian at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.

Survivors include her father, of Eugene; a brother, Peter Johnson of Eugene; and a sister, Paula Johnson of Eugene.

Shirley Trimble

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Beacon House in Junction City for Shirley K. "Twinkles" Trimble of Eugene, who died Aug. 23 of cancer at age 62.

She was born May 17, 1945, in Salem to Ike and Fern Bruce Epperly. She married Bob Trimble on Dec. 18, 1965, in Eugene.

She had a high school education and worked in the University of Oregon biology department as a purchasing agent.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Laura Lawver of Napa, Calif., and James Trimble of Eugene; a sister, Sharon Chard of Jefferson; and three grandchildren.

"Jane" Zimmerman

Grace I. "Jane" Zimmerman of Troutdale, formerly of Eugene, died July 31 of age-related causes at age 89. The funeral was held Aug. 2 in Willamette National Cemetery Willamette National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery in Clackamas County, Oregon, about 10 miles southeast of the city of Portland, Oregon. It encompasses 269.4 acres, and as of the end of 2005, had 126,561 interments.  in Portland.

She was born July 28, 1918, in Harrod, Ohio to Henry and Lenora Ellis Baker. She married Robert Zimmerman on Feb. 16, 1952, in San Francisco.

She graduated from Harrod High School in Ohio in 1936, Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1939 and the City College of San Francisco in 1950. She served in the Army for three years as a nurse, during and after World War II, attaining the rank of first lieutenant. She was a registered nurse.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Robbins of Gresham and Margaret Carruthers of Portland; a son, Neal Zimmerman of Eugene; and four grandchildren.

Vivian M. McAfee, 84, of Springfield, died Aug. 23. Among her survivors is a sister, Norma Hughey of Springfield. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Aug. 28, at Musgrove Family Mortuary, Eugene. The graveside grave·side
