Robert Courtright

Robert Logan Dean (born 31 October 1952) Australian politician is former member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.
 Courtright of Eugene, who died April 22 of a heart attack at age 79.

He was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Eugene to Emmett and Nellie Doyle Courtright. He married Marilyn Freeman on June 30, 1950, in Springfield. She died May 8, 2000.

He was a Navy yeoman yeoman (yō`mən), class in English society. The term has always been ill-defined, but generally it means a freeholder of a lower status than gentleman who cultivates his own land.  third class from 1946 to 1947. He worked at Brooks Office Equipment in Eugene from 1949 to 1987, and at Oregon Typewriter in Eugene until his retirement in 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Courtright of Soldotna, Alaska Soldotna is a city in Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 3,759. According to 2005 Census Bureau estimates, the city had a population of 4,087.[1] It is the seat of the Kenai Peninsula Borough. ; two sons, Paul of Chugiak, Alaska Chugiak (IPA pronunciation: ['tʃu gi æk]) is an unincorporated community in the Municipality of Anchorage in the U.S. state of Alaska, situated approximately 20 miles (12 km) northeast of Anchorage. , and Kelly of Deer Park, Wash.; three grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Carroll Cox

A celebration of life will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Valley River Assembly of God Church in Eugene for Carroll Francis Cox of Eugene, who died April 22 of age-related causes at age 91.

He was born June 21, 1915, in Ontario to LeRoy and Anna Bingaman Cox. He married Marie Danks in 1953. She died in 1975. He married Billie Dorris on April 1, 1976, in Eugene.

He worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle and was a shop foreman for Eugene Trailer Sales and Services for 32 years. He also owned and worked for a janitorial service.

Survivors include his wife; seven stepsons, Robert, Donald, Darrell, Eddie, Alexander and Thomas, all of Eugene, and Charles Jr. of Dewey, Ariz.; five stepdaughters, Joanne Garrigues, Kathleen Keeney, Deidre George, Tamra Dorris and Cynthia Glazier, all of Eugene; 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A grandchild died previously.

Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation cremation, disposal of a corpse by fire. It is an ancient and widespread practice, second only to burial. It has been found among the chiefdoms of the Pacific Northwest, among Northern Athapascan bands in Alaska, and among Canadian cultural groups.  & Burial Service in Springfield.

Patricia Gergen

The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, at St. Birgitta Catholic Church in Portland for Patricia Mae Gergen of Eugene, who died April 26 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 73.

She was born July 25, 1933, in Portland to John and Lillian O'Leary Deis. She married Ferris Gergen on April 2, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif. He died in 2005.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Paul of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Shawn of Eugene; a daughter, Maria Weitzel of Springfield; two brothers, James Deis of Portland and John Deis of Rocklin, Calif.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Leona Hollister

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at 500 Terra Linda Ave. in Eugene for Leona Marie Hollister of Springfield, who died April 27 of a brain aneurism at age 46.

She was born June 4, 1960, in Springfield, to Jack and Pearl Brown Bland. She married Melvin Hollister on June 2, 2000, in Eugene. She was a waitress and home- maker.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Pearl Isaacson of Salem; her father, of Yoncalla; a son, Steven Thompson of Ten Mile; a stepdaughter step·daugh·ter

Christopher Porter

Christopher D. Porter of Eugene died April 2 of an aneurysm aneurysm (ăn`yrĭzəm), localized dilatation of a blood vessel, particularly an artery, or the heart.  at age 57.

He was born Aug. 3, 1949, in Boston to Charles and Priscilla Galassi Porter.

He worked as a singer, songwriter and instrumental musician in numerous bands from 1969 to the 1990s, playing blues, country western, reggae, Cajun and rock "n" roll. He also worked as a carpenter and wood crafts- man.

Survivors include a daughter, Melodie Porter of Eugene; a son, Dylan of Eugene; two brothers, Donald of Seattle and Samuel of Eugene; and a sister, Anne Cooper of Seattle.

A memorial service will be later. Arrangements by Alpha Cremation Services in Eugene. Remembrances to the Chris Porter Children's Fund at Oregon Community Credit Union.

Vivian Thomas

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport for Vivian "Juanita" Thomas of Gardiner, who died April 24 of age-related causes at age 82.

She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Arkansas. She married Herbert "Hub" Thomas in 1942. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include six sons, Roy and Eldon, both of Eugene, Marvin of Drain, Ric of Portland, Dennis of Vashon Island, Wash., and Wayne of Gordonville, Texas; a brother, Lou Willingham of Springfield; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband and a daughter died previously.
