He died April 20, 1976. She graduated from high school in Creswell. She was a homemaker. Ruth Hiatt SPRINGFIELD - Ruth Vera Hiatt of Springfield died March 28 of age-related causes. She was 95. Hiatt was born Nov. 2, 1911, in Orson, Iowa, to Chris and Verella Crum Gakin. She married Dewey Hiatt on Sept. 17, 1931, in Rapid City, S.D. He died Oct. 16, 1963. She was a homemaker. Survivors include four sons, Bernard of Springfield, Russell of Cove, Wendell of Eugene and Gene of McKenzie Bridge; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Hettick was born June 16, 1921, in Silverton to August and Signa Engbretson Woelke. She married Leo Leo, in astronomy Leo [Lat.,=the lion], northern constellation lying S of Ursa Major and on the ecliptic (apparent path of the sun through the heavens) between Cancer and Virgo; it is one of the constellations of the zodiac. Ramp in April 1940 in Salem. He died in the early 1940s. She married Lester Hettick on Aug. 13, 1946, in Eugene. He died in 1989. She graduated from high school in Silverton. She was a homemaker. He married Ruth Wartnow on Nov. 24, 1950, in Kalispell, Mont. Young served in the Army from 1945 to 1947 with the occupation forces in Japan. He worked in coal mines in Montana, in the woods and in a sawmill sawmill, installation or facility in which cut logs are sawed into standard-sized boards and timbers.
