Short of Cottage Grove died March 4 of lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States in both men and women. Like other cancers, lung cancer occurs after repeated insults to the genetic material of the cell. at age 73. She was born Jan. 29, 1934, in Rincon, N.M., to Jesse and Ina Hisaw Adams. Short worked as a medical office assistant in Creswell and Drain. She graduated from high school in Drain. Carl was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to Thomas and Henrietta Parker Carl. He married Lula Mae Holly on Oct. 14, 1944, in Phoenix City, Ala. He served in the Army during World War II in the European theater. He worked for Edward Hines and for Pope & Talbot Lumber Co. for 37 years. The cause of death is unknown pending a medical examiner's report. She was born July 10, 1952, in Bellingham, Wash. Mitchell worked for Shelter Care as a counselor advocate for homeless and mentally ill people. Peltzer graduated from Highline High School Highline High School is a high school in Burien, Washington, United States, located about 3.5 highway miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Highline High School, the charter high school of the Highline School District, opened its doors in 1924 and served the cities of in Des Moines, Wash., in 1942 and graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in 2004. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II as a navigator on numerous missions over Germany, attaining the rank of first lieutenant.
