SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Walterville Community Hall for Sandra Winnop-Arnesen of Springfield, who died March 27 at age 63. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

She was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Lebanon to Jewel and Helen Vinyard Winnop.

Winnop-Arnesen was a homemaker. She graduated from Thurston High School Thurston High School is located in Springfield, Oregon in Lane County. Their mascot is a black colt. Shooting

Hazel Beach

Hazel Beach of Portland, formerly of the Lane County area, died March 22 of age-related causes. She was 85.

She was born July 10, 1921, in Springdale, Ark., to Ernest and Katherine Koscheski Morton. She married Ralph Beach on April 27, 1942, at Fort Lewis, Wash.

He died Jan. 27, 2003.

She was a high school graduate and attended business college. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Larry of Portland; a daughter, Barbara Ruhlman of Peoria, Ariz.; a brother, Ernest Morton of Harrah, Okla.; a sister, Katherine Netto of Fayetteville, Ark.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ed Maloney

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 2, at Franklin Christian Church, 92072 Territorial Highway in Junction City Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  for Ed "Eddie" Maloney of Eugene. He died March 28 of prostate cancer prostate cancer, cancer originating in the prostate gland. Prostate cancer is the leading malignancy in men in the United States and is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in men.  at age 61.

He was born June 16, 1945, in Roseburg to Edwin and Alice Roberts Alice May Roberts MB BCh BSc ILTM is a clinical anatomist and osteoarchaeologist teaching at Bristol University[1].

Dr Roberts is best known to the public for her appearances as an expert contributor on human anatomy to various television programs, including
 Maloney. He married Janet Moore on April 26, 1969, in Salem.

Maloney graduated from Willamette High School Willamette High School is a school in Eugene, Oregon.

Sharon Shorey

Sharon Kay Shorey of Eugene died March 27 of kidney failure kidney failure
 or renal failure

Partial or complete loss of kidney function. Acute failure causes reduced urine output and blood chemical imbalance, including uremia. Most patients recover within six weeks.

Shorey was born Nov. 16, 1939, in Jefferson, Iowa Jefferson is a city in Greene County, Iowa, United States, along the North Raccoon River. The population was 4,626 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Greene CountyGR6. , to Jean- ette Ellis Shorey. She married Ben Swan on June 3, 1980, in Eugene.

She graduated from high school in Jefferson and attended business college. She worked as a secretary for Lane Community College and for Bi-Mart for 27 years in secretarial and personnel work.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, of Montana; and a brother, Gary Shorey of Montana. A son, Jeffery, died previously.

Fraser attended the University of Oregon. He worked in equipment sales for Western Power.

Survivors include a domestic partner, Deborah Graff; a son, Kevin of Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Julie Revell of Coburg and Melissa Fraser of Portland; a brother, James of Anchorage; and five grand- children.

Wesley DeJongh

SPRINGFIELD - The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, March 30, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Wesley DeJongh of Springfield. He died March 28 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 83.

He was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Hull, Iowa, to Charles and Ada DeJongh. He and his wife, Kathryn, were married Feb. 16, 1944, in Edgerton, Minn.

DeJongh attended Westmark College in La Mars, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Melinda Elmore of Lakewood, Wash., Karla DeJongh of Portland and Marilyn Hoekstra of Woodburn; a son, Vern of Fruitland, Idaho; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Teresa Brown

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Lamb Cottage, 155 High St., for Teresa Maria Reyes Reyes Brown of Eugene. She died March 25 of pneumonia at age 73.

She was born Jan. 31, 1934, in Lima, Peru, to Enrrique Reyes and Matilde Reyes Reyes. She married Ernest "Eddie" Nutt, and he later died. She married Clarence "Bob" Brown on Aug. 1, 1983.

She worked at the Eugene Public Library for 17 years and was a co-owner of restaurants in Eugene and Cottage Grove.

Survivors include her husband; and a brother, Louis "Lucho" Reyes of Lima.

Jeff Sindt

SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Jeff Sindt of Springfield. He died March 27 of a brain aneurysm brain aneurysm Cerebral aneurysm Neurology A dilated and weak segment of a cerebral artery, often located in the circle of Willis at the base of the brain, which is susceptible to rupture; BAs may be caused by birth defects or follow poorly controlled HTN Clinical  at age 42.

He was born Oct. 3, 1964, in Florence to Jim and Judy Sindt. He and his wife, Tammy, were married April 3, 1999, at Odell Lake.

Sindt graduated from Lane Community College's diesel mechanic program and building construction program. He worked as a lumber grader for a Weyerhaeuser sawmill sawmill, installation or facility in which cut logs are sawed into standard-sized boards and timbers. The saws used in such an installation are generally of three types: the circular saw, which consists of a disk with teeth around its edge; the band saw, which . He later was a self-employed building contractor for Cascade Design & Remodelers Inc., and a land developer.

Survivors include his wife; his parents; two children, Cristian Rosales and Benjamin Sindt, both of Springfield; and a sister, Julie Harris of Eugene.

Inurnment will be private.

American educator and writer best known for her poem "America the Beautiful," written in 1893 and revised in 1904 and 1911.

She was born March 15, 1951, in Yakima, Wash., to Kenneth and Nina Belle Burton Golightly. She married Floyd Bates in 1970 in Eugene. He died in 1993. She married Larry James on March 2, 1996, in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. She worked in accounts payable for the Boeing Corp. in Seattle for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband; her mother and stepfather, Nina and Ivan Hense of Pleasant Hill; three daughters, Karla Bates of Springfield, Samantha Doherty of Anderson, Calif., and Stephanie Consolini of Magalia, Calif.; a son, Ryon Bates, serving in the Navy in Pearl City, Hawaii Pearl City is town and a census-designated place (CDP) located in the ʻEwa District and City & County of Honolulu on the Island of Oʻahu. ; two brothers, Wayne Hense of Dexter and Ted Hense of Springfield; five sisters, Kay Taylor and Paula Golightly, both of Pleasant Hill, Karen Sirashton of Jasper, Gail Buckholtz of Springfield and Grace Clement of Ione; and 10 grandchildren.

Clara Chmela

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today, March 30, at Westside Baptist Church in Eugene for Clara Marie Chmela of Eugene, who died March 25 of age-related causes. She was 91.

She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Chicago to Robert and Clara Tannhauser Maschek. She married Frank Chmela on June 5, 1937, in Chicago.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Frank of Eugene; a sister, Rose Maciejczak of Napa, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Her husband; a daughter, Clara Tidwell; and a son, Terry Chmela; died previously.

Wayne McClurg

A memorial service will be at noon Saturday, March 31, at the riverside park in Blue River for Wayne Russell McClurg of Blue River. He died March 26 of unknown causes, pending toxicology results, at age 59.

He was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Rose- burg.

McClurg was a commercial fisherman. He served in the Army 1st Cavalry in Vietnam. He attended Lane Community College.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Aumundsen of Salem; two brothers, Dan of Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Ben of Lake Oswego; and a sister, Carol McClurg of Eugene.

Willie White

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Turner Christian Church for Willie W. White of Turner, formerly of Eugene and Springfield. He died March 25 of age-related causes at age 94. Burial will be at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in Spring- field Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Home in Salem.

White was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Drain. He married Emma Lou Baughman on June 17, 1935, in Trent, and she died in July 1983.

He married Doris Herbison in November 1985. She died in 2007.

A graduate of Northwest Christian College Northwest Christian College is a private, liberal arts college located in Eugene, Oregon and is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. , he had worked as a pastor, an evangelist and an author.

Survivors include a daughter, Patty Flora of Medford; a son, Bill of Springfield; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Three grandchildren died previously.

Jeanine Sibert

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Madras Free Methodist Church The Free Methodist Church, so named for its rejection of monetary emphases within the 19th century Methodist Church, remains a denomination of broader Methodism. It is considered to be Evangelical and Protestant, and its theology is similar to that of the Wesleyan Church, the  for Jeanine Joy Thurman Sibert of Redmond, formerly of Eugene. She died March 26 of cancer at age 64.

She was born March 1, 1943, in Eugene to Quentin and Leatha Chase Thurman. She married Gary Fowler in July 1961.

She graduated from Crow High School in 1961. She worked for Gourmet Foods and U&I in Metolius, and at the Stag Restaurant in Madras.

Survivors include three sons, Stanley Fowler of St. Helens, Joseph Fowler of Madras and Brian Fowler of Portland; a daughter, Melody Wilson of Redmond; a sister, Mary Fox of Marcola; and three grandchildren.
