Wendell Wood

A memorial service will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, March 19, at the Eugene Country Club for Wendell Edgar Wood Edgar Wood (1860–1935) was an architect who practised from Manchester about the turn of the century and gained a considerable reputation both in Britain and abroad, notably in Germany. British design was then of European significance.  of Eugene, who died March 8 of pneumonia. He was 94.

He was born March 11, 1912, in Creswell to William and Sally Scott Wood. He married Agnes Ledahl on Aug. 8, 1936, in Vancouver, Wash. She died in 1999.

Wood served in the Navy from 1944 to 1945. He worked as a golf professional at the Eugene Country Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Wood Wendy Wood (born Gwendoline Emily Meacham) (1892-June, 1981) was a well-known campaigner for Scottish independence and founder of the Scottish Patriots. An eccentric and colourful figure, she was also an artist and writer, and her antics often created controversy.  Rose of Eugene; a brother, John of Eugene; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Byron Wood, died in 2002.

Donald Lawson

Donald Giltner Lawson of Eugene died Feb. 27 of age-related causes. He was 83.

He was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Eugene to Chester and Lucille Gaupp Lawson. He married Nadine George Nadine Andrea George (born 15 October 1968, Jamaica) is a West Indian cricketer, who has played one Test match and 31 ODIs for the West Indian women's cricket team. She was the first West Indian woman cricketer to score a hundred in a Test match, scoring 118 on Test debut against  on July 6, 1947, in Eugene. They later divorced. He married Marcia Houglum on May 27, 1985.

He served in the Air Force in Europe from 1943 to 1946 in the 448th Bombardment Group. He started as a piano salesman in Eugene in 1948 and became a district manager. In 1980, he opened his own store, Lawson's Keyboard Center in Eugene.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Connie Lawson of Eugene; a son, David of Eugene; a brother, Jack of Palm Springs, Calif.; and four grandchildren,

Shirley Sjoblom

JUNCTION CITY Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. The rail, trade, and processing center of an agricultural and dairy area, it grew as the supply point for nearby Fort Riley,  - A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Eugene Christian Fellowship for Shirley May Sjoblom of Junction City, who died of cancer March 11. She was 52.

She was born July 27, 1954, in Springfield to Charles and Mary Makinson Crabtree. She married Bradley Sjoblom on April 11, 1998, in Eugene.

She attended college for two years and worked as an office manager and dental assistant dental assistant

There is farming (cattle, sheep, corn, and soybeans) and manufacturing (chemicals and machinery). ; five brothers, Charles Crabtree of Utah, Andrew Crabtree of Colorado, and Richard Crabtree, Noel Crabtree and Johnnie Crabtree, all of Tillamook; and three grandchildren.

Warren Points

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. March 23 at the Church of God in Harrisburg for Warren Sean Points of Eugene, who died March 5 of cancer. He was 81.

He was born June 20, 1925, in Idaho to Milton and Saima Takkinnen Points. He married Ardis Parsley on July 8, 1950, in Idaho. She died July 18, 1999.

Points worked as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a labor union within the AFL-CIO representing primarily construction workers who work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics, surveyors, and stationary engineers, who maintain heating and other systems in buildings and  Local 701 and later owned and operated Points Excavation with his brother.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Robert Shelton

FLORENCE - A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, at Florence Christian Church for Robert W. Shelton of Florence, who died March 12 at age 86. The family chose not to list the cause of death.

He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in West Virginia West Virginia, E central state of the United States. It is bordered by Pennsylvania and Maryland (N), Virginia (E and S), and Kentucky and, across the Ohio R., Ohio (W). Facts and Figures

. He married Shirley Scarberry on Dec. 26, 1941. She died previously.

Shelton served in the Army during World War II. He worked at U.S. Plywood in Mapleton from 1952 until his retirement in 1982.

Survivors include four sons, Bill and Ron, both of Florence, Jim of Veneta and Don of Cottage Grove; a daughter, Barbara "Susie" of Santa Rosa Santa Rosa, city, Argentina

, Calif.; a brother, Ray, of California; a sister, Nellie of West Virginia; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren died previously.

Roy Peters

He was born Sept. 20, 1932, in Valdosta, Ga., to Wayne and Elinor Waal Peters. He married Barbara J. Lee on Dec. 17, 1951.

Peters was a cranberry farmer.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Peggie Kegel of Junction City, Terri DeOs of Bandon, Melanie Sauers of Portland, Tracy Meisel of Eugene, and JoAnne Caldwell of North Bend; two sons, Russ of Port Orford, and Scott of Bandon; a sister, Marlene MacKenzie of Grants Pass; 19 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren.

Glen Deffenbacher

A gathering will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Eagles Lodge in Eugene for Glen Lee Deffenbacher of Eugene, who died March 11 of leukemia. He was 86.

He was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Coburg to J. Edwin and Alice Brownell Deffenbacher. He married E. Maridell Allum on Sept. 11, 1940, in Eugene.

Deffenbacher served with the National Guard. He worked as a truck driver, carpenter and volunteer fireman.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Pat McCallum of Eugene and Phyllis Exe of Arvada, Colo.; a son, Jim of Sun City, Calif.; a sister, Agnes Lynn of Eugene; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grand- children and two great-great- grandchildren.

Barbara Roseberry

A celebration of life will be at 2:30 p.m. today, March 14, at Ya Po Ah Terrace in Eugene for Barbara Roseberry of Eugene, who died March 10 of cancer. She was 82.

She was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Burt, Iowa, to Harvey and Olive Thompson. She married Lynn Roseberry on Feb. 16, 1957, in Portland.

She held a bachelor of arts degree and was a high school English teacher.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Margaret Lanier of Portland and Amy Shipley of Junction City; a sister, Ruthanne Ellis of Vacaville, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Jacqueline Bezley

SPRINGFIELD - Jacqueline Louise Bezley of Springfield died March 10 of kidney disease Kidney Disease Definition

. She was 69.

She was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Shelton, Wash., to Hubert and Clara Booth Bezley.

Bezley served in the Navy and worked as a draftsman for the Columbia County assessor's office.

Survivors include a son, Mark of Springfield; two brothers, Allan of Cambridge, Idaho, and Bill of Shelton; a sister, Tina Mattson of Kennewick, Wash.; and two grand- daughters.
