Agatha Ziniker

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Grace Lutheran Church for Agatha L. Ziniker of Eugene, who died Feb. 15 of age-related causes. She was 96.

She was born June 30, 1910, in Springfield to Dean and Mary Lathrop Beals. She married William Ziniker on June 12, 1930, in Springfield.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Corinne Doane of Eugene and Pauline Ziniker of Livingston, Mont.; a sister, Elsie Baker of Eugene; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband died July 16, 1988, and a son, William Zinniker, died April 20, 2006.

Edwin DeBates

JUNCTION CITY Junction City, city (1990 pop. 20,604), seat of Geary co., NE Kans., at the confluence of the Republican and Smoky Hill rivers; inc. 1859. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. He was a retired farm mechanic.

Survivors include three children, Kim Harrison Kim Harrison is an American author best known for her Rachel Morgan urban fantasy series set in an alternate history where a worldwide pandemic caused by genetically modified tomatoes led to the death of a large portion of the world's human population.  of Junction City, Rebecca Crowson of Monroe and Kevin of Cheshire; four sisters, Barbara Long and Linda Tharp, both of Eugene, Beverly Blanton of Junction City and Pat Bowman of California; two brothers, Richard of Eugene and Herb of Junction City; a half brother, David DeBates; two half sisters, Laura DeBates and Carolyn DeBates; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His wife died April 30, 1991.

Private family burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to Junction City Fire and Rescue or Cascade Hospice.

Virgil Ridings

FLORENCE - A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 17, at Burns's Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home for Virgil Calvin Ridings of Florence, who died Feb. 9 of cancer at age 95.

He was born Sept. 24, 1911, in Winston-Salem, N.C., to William and Martha Turner Ridings.

He was a machinist and millworker.

Survivors include four children, Valerie Bye, Ronald, Kathy Metzler and Matthew; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. A granddaughter, Margo Van Drew, and a grandson, Stacy Ridings, died previously.

Remembrances to a hospice.

Anne Clements

Anne M. Clements of Brookings, formerly of Eugene, died Feb. 10 of age-related causes. She was 93.

She was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Menlo, Wash., to Joseph and Verena Dahinden. She married Albert Clements on Aug. 27, 1932, in Chehalis, Wash. He died Nov. 9, 1984.

She was a homemaker and, with her husband, co-owned Al Clements Lumber Co. in Marcola.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Anne Hicks of Harbor; two sons, Brad of Springfield and Carl of Florida; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be later. Arrangements by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene.

Linda Gettman

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors in McMinnville for Linda Kay Gettman of McMinnville, formerly of Springfield, who died Feb. 14 of cancer at age 59.

She was born July 7, 1947, in Goodland, Kan., to Kenneth and Marie Daise Anderson. She married Steven Gettman on Aug. 9, 1975.

She worked at the Cerebral Palsy cerebral palsy (sərē`brəl pôl`zē), disability caused by brain damage before or during birth or in the first years, resulting in a loss of voluntary muscular control and coordination.  Workshop.

Survivors include her husband; her parents, of Springfield; and three brothers, Michael Anderson Michael Anderson is the name of:

Phyllis Knoche

Phyllis Eckers Knoche of Eugene died Feb. 14 of age-related causes at age 88. No service is planned.

She was born Feb. 25, 1918, in Riderwood, Md., to George and Ada Tyrie Eckers. She married Henry Knoche in 1960, and he died in 1972.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Post of Monkton, Md.; a daughter, Jeffrey Jane Flowers of Eugene; three stepchildren, Henry Knoche Jr. and Elizabeth Wilhelm, both of Randallstown, Md., and Thomas Knoche of Camden, N.J.; and two grandchildren. A son, Larry Post, died in 1976.

Inurnment will be in Sherwood Episcopal Church Episcopal Church, Anglican church of the United States. Its separate existence as an American ecclesiastical body with its own episcopate began in 1789. Doctrine and Organization

Talia Benedict

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 17, at 3615 Waterbrook Way in Eugene for Talia La Nae Benedict of Millsburg, Ohio, formerly of the Lane County area. She died Feb. 11 of heart failure at age 29.

She was born March 28, 1977, in Portland to Thaddeus and Marcia Hawes Benedict.

Survivors include her mother, Marcia Rahier of Eugene; a son, Cody Rumble of Prineville; three sisters, Charity Crosby and Meadow Benedict, both of Eugene, and Fawn Clark of Vancouver, Wash.; and three brothers, Ammon Benedict, Jordan Rahier and Zachary Benedict, all of Eugene.

Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.

Raymond Staepelaere

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Ralston Hall Mansion, 1500 Ralston Ave., in Belmont, Calif., for Raymond Leopold Staepelaere of Palo Alto, Calif., formerly of the Eugene area. He died Feb. 6 of cardiac arrest cardiac arrest

He was born March 1, 1936, in Antwerp, Belgium, to Jozef and Leopoldina De Merechy Staepelaere. He and Barbara Staepelaere were married and divorced.

Survivors include his life partner, Linda Arakaki; a son, David Staepelaere of Scotts Valley, Calif.; and a daughter, Annemarie Nottle of Mountain View, Calif.

Burial will be in Wilrijk, Belgium. Arrangements by Fremont Chapel of the Roses in Fremont, Calif. Remembrances to the Grameen Foundation.

Genia Likwornik

Genia Likwornik of Eugene died Feb. 5 of congestive heart failure congestive heart failure, inability of the heart to expel sufficient blood to keep pace with the metabolic demands of the body. In the healthy individual the heart can tolerate large increases of workload for a considerable length of time.  at age 83. No service is planned.

She was born March 15, 1923, in Poland to Abraham and Bella Safran. She married Joseph Likwornik on Jan. 15, 1946, in Italy.

She worked as a nurse during World War II and owned a luncheonette lunch·eon·ette
