He was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Eugene to Irl and Mabel Morrison Shelby. He married Iva Osborne on June 20, 1949, in Eugene. She died Dec. 25, 1993. He married Lila Hampton on Feb. 11, 1995, in Reno, Nev. They later divorced. He worked as a press operator at a plywood mill. Survivors include a son, Steven of Sandy, Utah Sandy (also known as Sandy City) is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah and a suburb of Salt Lake City. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 88,418.
