He was born March 31, 1963, in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. to Mario and Edna Beryl Kent Tognazzini. He married Annette Elaine Meyers in Ojai, Calif., on May 6, 2004. Tognazzini attended Villanova Preparatory School Villanova Preparatory School is an Augustinian Catholic co-ed day/ boarding school located in the small town of Ojai, California, USA. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, it was founded by Augustinian friars in 1924 and is the only co-ed Augustinian boarding and Nordhoff High School in Ojai. He lived in Ojai and Ventura, Calif., before moving to Eugene in 1988. He was employed by Safeway Stores Inc. in Ojai from 1980 to 1988 and Eugene from 1988 to 1995. The service seeks to improve its performance through the development of efficient mail-handling systems and operates its own planning and engineering programs. from 1995 to 2004. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers The National Association of Letter Carriers (or NALC) is a labor union for employees of the United States Postal Service who serve as letter carriers (informally, "mail carriers", "mailmen", or "postmen", although many are now in fact female). ; Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. He was an Eagle Scout with Bronze Palm. Tognazzini was a recipient of the U.S. Postal Service Special Achievement Award in 2002 and 2003, in addition to winning the Safe Driver Award in 1997. Survivors include his wife; his parents and three daughters, Shana, Janelle and Stacy, all of Eugene; and a sister, Elaine Tognazzini-Franssen of Ojai. Lue Huntington SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held Sept. 19 for Lue Huntington of Springfield, who died of cancer Sept. 7. She was 70. Hunting- ton was born Nov. 20, 1933, in Denver to Tony and Inez Radenberg Jaterka. She married Ed Huntington on April 8, 1972, in Lake Tahoe, Calif. She had lived in the Springfield area for 51 years and previously lived in Bingham Canyon, Utah For the copper mine at this location, see . Bingham Canyon was a city formerly located in southwestern Salt Lake County, Utah, in a narrow canyon on the eastern face of the Oquirrh Mountains. . She was the Northwest branch manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry. She belonged to Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, Springfield Country Club and an Eagles auxiliary. She enjoyed golf, bowling, crocheting and gardening. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Damini "Denice" Branen of Eugene and Cynthia Hart of Springfield; three stepsons, Dale of Springfield, David of Pleasant Hill and Glen of Redmond, Wash.; two brothers, Robert Jaterka of Kearns, Utah, and Charles Jaterka of West Valley City, Utah West Valley City is a city in Salt Lake County in the state of Utah. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 108,896. A 2006 estimate placed its population at 118,917 making it the second-largest city in Utah. ; a sister, Yvette Madsen of Murray, Utah; and three grandchildren. An infant daughter, Doris Lynn, died previously. Sunday's service will be at 3 p.m. at Springfield Country Club. Buell Funeral Chapel of Springfield is in charge of arrangements. Shields of Pleasant Hill, who died Sept. 4 of age-related causes. She was 85. She was born May 22, 1919, in Hudson, Wyo., to Marko and Mildred Marchek Breko. She married John Shields on May 31, 1946, in Roseburg. She worked for Eugene Fruit Growers for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, handcrafts and ceramics. She was a member of the Rebekah's Lodge. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Harper of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; two sons, Tom of Springfield and Mark of Eugene; four sisters, Eva Davis, Dorothy Debonardi and Mildred Tuescher, all of Wyoming, and Beba Bailey of Arizona; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Tuesday's service will be at 2 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge, 686 McKinley St. Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
