William Henry - English chemist who studied the quantities of gas absorbed by water at different temperatures and under different pressures (1775-1836) Henry "Bill" Clough of Springfield, who died March 11 of age-related causes. He was 75. He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Chicago to William and Marie Martin Clough. He married Bonnie Lucille Parker in Orange, Calif., on April 11, 1964. Clough served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 22 years, reaching the rank of staff sergeant staff sergeant n. 1. a. Abbr. He also worked as a furniture mover and custodian. He lived in Mission Viejo, Calif., before moving to Springfield 12 years ago. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dog. He was a member of Neighborhood Watch, the National Rifle Association National Rifle Association (NRA) Governing organization for the sport of shooting with rifles and pistols. It was founded in Britain in 1860. The U.S. organization, formed in 1871, has a membership of some four million. Both the British and the U.S. and the 2nd Marines Division. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer Clough of Springfield; and a brother, Ronald of Chicago. Tuesday's service will be at 11 a.m. at Mohawk Community Church in Springfield.
