OBITUARIES : JAMES J. MCDONALD.


Services for James J. McDonald of Lancaster will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel, 44802 Date Ave., Lancaster.

McDonald was born May 22, 1924, in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  and died Saturday at age 73 in Lancaster.

The Antelope Valley
 since 1971. He was a retired aircraft technician who had worked with Lockheed and Northrop for 46 years.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; son, Walter McDonald Walter Clifton McDonald (born March 16, 1903 in Roland, Manitoba; died November 7, 1999) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba as a Liberal-Progressive from 1949 to 1959. ; daughter, Cheryl Richards; and five grandchildren.

Frank A. Romero

Services for Frank A. Romero will be conducted Friday in Phoenix, Ariz.

Romero died Dec. 25 at age 48 in Lancaster.

Hicks Mortuary in Palmdale is in charge of arrangements.

Avonnelle M. Tilton

Avonnelle M. Tilton of Littlerock died Sunday in Lancaster at age 83.

She was born May 16, 1914, in Iowa and had lived in the Antelope Valley for 39 years.

There will be no services. Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel in Palmdale is in charge of arrangements.

Darrell Haas

Services for Darrell Haas of Littlerock will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, 38141 6th St. E., Palmdale.

Haas was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Hastings, Neb. and died Sunday at age 83 in Lancaster.

Haas was an electrical engineer for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; children, Russell Haas, Gordon Haas, Darrell Haas, Carol Hobbs and Linda Natale; brother, Lewis Hass; and numerous grandchildren.

Lois Kay Setzler

Services were conducted Friday for Lois Kay Setzler of Palmdale.

Setzler died Dec. 20 at age 73.

Survivors include her sons, Richard William Setzler and James Robert Setzler; daughter, Janet Kay Setzler; and eight grandchildren.

Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel in Palmdale was in charge of arrangements.

William J. Regan

 services were held at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth for William J. Regan of Lancaster.

Regan was a United States Army United States Army

Major branch of the U.S. military forces, charged with preserving peace and security and defending the nation. The first regular U.S. fighting force, the Continental Army, was organized by the Continental Congress on June 14, 1775, to supplement local
 veteran of World War II. He served in the priesthood, O.M.I., 1956-1966. He was employed by the Antelope Valley Daily News.

Survivors include his brother, Francis A. Regan of Illinois; nieces, Barbara Pokorny of Connecticut and Dorothy Drake of Wisconsin; nephews, Michael Regan of Missouri and John Regan John Regan is an American musician and bassist. He is notable for being a member of ex-KISS guitarist Ace Frehley's band from 1984 to 1992. He has also recorded and performed with Cyndi Lauper, Peter Frampton, John Waite and David Lee Roth. He lives in New York.  of Illinois; and stepchildren, Robert, David, Susan, and Richard Frang.

Praiswater Meyer-Mitchell Mortuary in Van Nuys is in charge of arrangements.

Flora Rush

There will be no services for Flora Rush of Palmdale.

Rush was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Denver Colo. and died Tuesday in Lancaster.

Rush had been a homemaker for 48 years.

She is survived by her children, Carla Schneider, Paula Hamby, Linda Bailey, Lisa Wells, Patricia Mann, Lorna Hamby and Richard Sands.

Chapel of the Valley Mortuary in Palmdale is in charge of arrangements.

Louis Samich

Louis Samich of Rosamond died Thursday in Lancaster.

Samich was born April 17, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Samich served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Rita Otterbeck; and stepson step·son
