Private services will be held for Alma Adeline Boyd, a homemaker from Palmdale. She died Tuesday in Lancaster at age 94.

Maritza Fanny Duran
Visitation for Maritza Fanny Duran, of Palmdale, will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today, followed by a rosary rosary [rose garden], prayer of Roman Catholics, in which beads are used as counters. Duran, a cashier, died Monday in Mission Hills at age 39.
Born Sept. 3, 1958, in Quito, Ecuador, Duran had lived in the Antelope Valley for nine years.
Survivors include her husband, John Duran John J. Duran is an American municipal politician and the current mayor of West Hollywood, California.
Duran was elected to the City Council on March 6, 2001. ; children, Mark, Steve and Gloria Duran; father, Jugo Alarcon; brothers, Pablo, Julio, Hugo, George and Hugo Alarcon; and sister, Gisela Alarcon.
Eugene D. Hammer
Private services were held for Eugene D. Hammer, 59, who died Saturday at his home.

Private services were held for James P. Munson, a longtime Antelope Valley resident. He died Oct. 28 at age 81.
